Aussies say the funniest things!

We have a new kid at work doing our marketing and social media.

He's from Australia and has brown skin and isn't religious. He showed me a picture of his Mrs, a nice looking white English girl.

Seems a really good lad, and we've had some good jokes already, but today I was asking him where he's living. He's telling me he lives with his bird in a rented house, she's 24 and he's 28, and her Mum lost her house so her and the dog have moved in.

"Sht that can't be easy" I said.

"Yeah it's just a little terrorist house we're in"

I was like "mate, you need to get that pronunciation nailed down rapido"

I heard one of the bellends pronounce Loughborough as 'Loogerberooga' once.

Do they have a problem with their brains or their mouths or both?

I live in oz now & believe me it is funny hearing some of the pronounciations of places such as Leicester or Worcester. There are also some product names here you just would not get away with in the UK for fear of the politically correct police getting involved.

The good thing about Aussies is they know how to take the mick out of themselves & even the immigrants especially the Europeans such as Greeks or Italians know how to send themselves up.

Aussie girl works with me and was nicknamed spunky over in Oz, it's a term of endearment over there and kinda just means lively or bubbly. She told me she gets weird looks by passers by if her family calls her that down the road here haha

How hard can it be? It's phonetically 'less-easter' and 'war-chester'.

they pronounce it as they see it ly- cester war-cester. & if they are of ethnic background it is even weirder.
