Klopp

To sack him at this stage would be absolute madness, however I do think he should be judged at the end of the season..

The problems I see are as follows (based on current squad).

Strikers: I think Firmino has been overused for a considerable amount of time a CF and would like to see more of Sturridge, Solanke and even Ings tbh.

People say that Sturridge has lost it, but for me he hasn’t had the minutes this season and some people forget that he is part of the reason of how we achieved champions league football this season.

Solanke is another who needs mins to improve and the same goes for Ings...

Personally I would be playing coutinho on the left or in midfield with Firmino playing off ole of those three... But the striking situation may need money throwing at it, but Firmino Only really does well as a CF in certain games and not week in and week out.

On the wings I don’t see big issues...

Midfield: now Can, Hendo and Windy are all very similar, with windy more effective going forward.

I think that Can when he is disciplined is a very good DM, but he loses concentration far too often and maybe Klopp doesn’t want to lose him so he is playing him further up.

Hendo has been getting slowly better as this season has progressed, but him and Can look so lost playing together and this is very evident for me.

Windy - I actually like him, but I think if Coutinho isn’t wide then he should be the more attacking CM.

Defence -

Ok I almost left this just full of laughing smilies... This defence is worst than BR’s and he must find this hilariou!

LB - Now Moreno has done ok this season, but not good enough to freeze Robertson out completely? There should be more thought regarding this position.

CB - Dear god ... Oh well Lovern has never looked the part in a red shirt and I feel for him as he is a human being with thoughts and feelings, but it hasn’t worked out for him really! It’s gotta be Gomez and Matip now and we HAVE to sign in the winter transfer window and sign effectively!!

Now RB - We really need Clyne back ASAP and in reality this is another defensive position that hasn’t been invested in! With kids only as back ups...

GK - I don’t think they are bad as people make out, but the style of football played and having a weak defense in front of them, then they are gonna be called into action far more than they should be and remember both are stepping up a level, but saying that I would like to see Ward giving more of a chance.

For me Klopp has a lot of work to do, but calling for his head is plain stupidity so early in the season

I'm glad to see it's a minority (of Liverpool "fans"on here who would like to see Klopp sacked.

Results have not been good so far this season, but performances in the main have been ok. I would be more concerned if the players weren't trying for him, but I don't get the sense that this is the case. I see a team with players who are low on confidence, out of form and are weak in a couple of area's.

Klopp is not infallible. He has definitely shot himself in the foot by weakening our options at CB. He's gambled after the VVD fiasco and at the present this gamble has backfired spectacularly.

Is this a sackable offence? Of course not. It's a mistake, but all managers make mistakes. He has got us to 2 finals and delivered CL football.

It's cretinous to suggest that after nine league games, he should be sacked. It blows my mind how knee-jerk some modern day fans can be.

I would be interested to hear where the likes of Fred and Rap stand when It comes to the owners. From memory aren't they both fervent FSG backers?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
So it was cretinous to sack Rodgers then.

After all he has a better win record than Klopp
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was one of the few who defended him on here. The difference was that towards the end the players stopped playing for him. I have seen no sign of this with our current manager. If the players noticeably down tools for Klopp then my opinion may change.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The defence and keeper look like they have downed tools.

His record is no better than Rodgers. Yet he is a great guy in the media so that gets him time.

Bobby Martinez was laughed at in the media for a similar positive spin on everything.

Surely if it was that obvious he would have been sacked during the Summer and you'd have got a new manager in with a budget to buy his own players.

In my opinion it was obvious, but maybe they were willing to give him one more season, and then changed their minds when it started badly.

You'd have to ask FSG, I don't know.

Rodgers lost the dressing room thats why he got sacked. Did you not watch the Stoke game we got beat 6-1 against. None of the players wanted to play for him.

Klopp on the other hand has got a great relationship with his players right now
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why did it take until the 8th league game and several more transfers for Rodgers to be binned if it was that obvious he had lost the dressing room.

Nobody can possibly know the answer to that unless one of the posters happen to be on the Liverpool board.

My guess would be there was nobody better (or perceived to be better) available. As soon as Klopp was known to be available, Rodgers was dumped. Whether fair or not, it seems our owners really wanted Klopp. I doubt that would have significantly changed in 2 years.

Just like those behind the scenes like the board and the owners would have had more of an idea on whether Rodgers had lost the dressing room and yet quite a few posters on here seem to know that he had lost the dressing room.

That was obvious to anybody who attended a match in the second half of that season. I mean, blatantly obvious.

If it was so obvious why did your owners keep him on and let him bring his own players in during the Summer transfer window.

It makes no sense whatsoever

More of an idea, absolutely.

But when players don't want to play for the manager it usually shows on the pitch as well as off it. Loads of examples of it. So it's not unreasonable to think that supporters who watch the team every week would have a view on this.

What you asked is why the board kept Rodgers. You're asking why specific people made a specific decision. It's not the same thing at all.

I already answered this question earlier, and so did others.
