De Bruyne better passer

than Scholes, Giggs and Beckham according to Michael Owen. Is he really that stupid.

Owen says that the Belgian has developed into a better passer of the ball than legendary Manchester United trio Scholes, Ryan Giggs and David Beckham.

When asked how he would rank the quartet in terms of passing, Owen said: “De Bruyne, Scholes, Giggs, Beckham would be my order.

“Beckham was a pure striker of the ball," he continued, speaking to the official Premier League website. “He obviously mastered a great whip on his dead balls, but he had that long range fizz as well.

“Of course he could see a pass, vision I’d say decent and weight of pass good. A great clean striker of the ball.

“But I wouldn’t say he had the vision and ability of De Bruyne.

“Scholesy had great vision. Not only could he play a ball, but he had great vision.

“Giggs probably didn’t have the long range ping in his locker like a Beckham or a Scholes, but had unbelievable vision. Great vision.“

Personally I'd have Beckham at #1.

.............

You would be in a minority apart form girls.

That’s a minority I’m fine to be in. When’s the party?

Beckham's the best midfielder the PL has ever seen, and arguably only 2nd to Gazza in England's best midfielders. If he was spanish he'd be rated much higher considering how much people over rate people like Xavi and Iniesta who were not even on the same level as any of Gerrard, Beckham, Lampard or Scholes

Beckham isn’t even the best midfielder United have ever seen let alone the Premier League.

Did you also notice that Beckham never had to break a stride when he made those crosses?

----------------------------------------------------------------------
He didn’t need to as he had no pace anyway. Didn’t need it either, the ball did all the talking. The speed and accuracy of those crosses were unrivalled. Still aren’t in my book.

Alessandro del Piero was on his level. He's the only one of that generation I can think of.

Quality player. That’s the age I tho k footy was at its peak before money destroyed it. Loved watching him.

Italian football has already been ruined by it when Pirlo was in his prime to be fair!

Beckham the best midfielder the PL has seen

The other three he played with at United were all better, for a start. What a midfield that was though.

Definitely better than scholes and giggs, but then that was not what Giggs was about.

Scholes was a 50:50 (ish) passer. Either sublime or dangerously self destructive. Rarely seen such a top player lose possession so often - and too often in bad places

not better than beckham though. Phenomenal, but too limited in other areas of the game

Could play anywhere along the front line, up top on his own, out wide. Incredible dead ball specialist. Amazing vision, great striker of the ball, two feet, could dribble; fack, he could even tackle.

Magnificent player. One of my favourites of all time.
