Norwich & Easter eggs

I'm abroad and we don't "do" Easter. I'm curious to know if people still buy chocolate Easter eggs ? Anyhow, it's bank oliday Monday and we ave Norwich at ome. A real mid table playing out the season match. No sense to it but I've never liked Norwich. Maybe it's a city/country thing or maybe it's a Smith/Fry thing. Maybe I'm just jealous of the crowds they get. So, I'd love us to get a win on Monday and finish the season well. We were lax against Reading while Norwich were comfortably beat by the Fools on Friday. A form line through the Fools suggests we'll win as we drew wiv them not to long ago.

Very sad that someone who was proud to be a torch bearer, as it were, for his club who probably ditched his loyalties thereafter.

I worked with a long standing fan who went to the 1969 League Cup Final and saw thugs set about Swindon fans in all their regalia on what was a momentous day for Town, beaten and bloodied for supporting the other side-and for losing of course.

Looks similar if you've ad a pigs ear or three granted. RR stands for rally round. In the sixties there used to be a fellow with a drum. There used to be a small piece in the ome programme as to where the R's fans would assemble for the following away match. Sadly but predictably the drum was smashed up and the fellow given a few slaps before a ome game against Chelsea.

I remember the 69 league cup final well. Third division against first, just like two years before in 67. Both times the third division came out on top, they were real giant killings. Shame about the off the pitch stuff, Arsenal fans ave always been cowards.

I only remember a little of the ‘67 Final. Sheppard the West Brom goalie laying injured and Rangers in white. That’s about it. I have a better memory of the quarter-final at Shepherd’s Bush though 😗

...or maybe the Round before that.

It would ave been the 4th round when we played Leicester. We won 4-2 at ome. We were 2-1 down when we got a lucky equaliser. The ball rebounded off keeper Banks and went in. Marsh and Lazarus did the rest.

Oh, to ave a goal scorer like Rodnee in the side to face Norwich. But back to the present, I'd like to see Sylla start and partnered by Eze or Smyth. Smith is too limited and Wash is just Wash.

The way Rodnee could dummy an opponent. Magic.

Very good 2nd alf from us, everyone got involved. On a sad note I see Asslebank, one of our d.o.f. better appointments as been sacked again.

I’m sure he was appointed only a few months ago. Gone already? How time flies when you get older 😒
