I can understand how people raise a lack of managerial experience as a potential pitfall but fail to see you this is negated because someone has a long association with a club!!! Surely, playing over 500 EPL games, 104 England appearances under such coaches as Benitez, Houllier etc counts for something ?

I guess you missed the bit where I said Lennon had first team experience by the time he was given the job on a one year contract. I suspect Gerrard won’t be on just a one year contract.

He also has no idea of the goldfish bowl that is the OF, an advantage Lennon had.

Ffs - it’s not that complicated.

There are two teams in one city who hate each other, both teams have fans who expect success, your every move will be scrutinised by a partisan media.

Exactly !! There's a myth about the pressure , sure there is one but all clubs that share a city have this and in Liverpool's case there's Man U along the M62. I can't see this being a problem.

Nice to see Liverpool get to the champ league final. I am not a Liverpool fan but appreciate their quality of football they play and their history.

Steve Gerrard is still part of the club and was the captain of Liverpool the last time they won it. Amazing to think he could be announced as our new manager in a matter of hours.

It will raise the profile of rangers and hopefully attract some good players to us and encourage investment in the club in the future.
