Sancho and challenging

Within the last couple of weeks we've had two reputable journalists in David Ornstein (The Athletic) and Fabrizio Romano talking up our chances of signing Sancho.

Ornstein

“The indications are that the Jadon Sancho deal is not for Chelsea, whether that’s around money, Champions League qualification or the saturation of wing players."

“As things stand, I think United are looking the most likely option, but so much can change."

Romano

"#mufc have been in contact with Jadon Sancho's agent for two months and are working on his contract. The coronavirus pandemic is making it hard to communicate with Borussia Dortmund. United are confident"

He says more in the video below...

If this is true and this signing happens, then we could possibly be, only two or three signings away from competing with the best. Regardless of what anybody thinks of Pogba, a front five including the Frenchman, Rashford, Martial, Sancho and Bruno, WILL score goals against any team on the planet.

If Ole were to concentrate on strengthening our deeper positions, we could have our most exciting team since 2008.

Just looked it up: it was Juve 3-0 Atletico. Ronaldo hattrick.

Bernardeschi was playing in a central role behind the two strikers.

And yet, despite that, his end product is naff and he struggles to get in a Juve (and Italy) side that hasn’t got a quality right winger. There’s a reason Juve want to shift him.

He’s the man

I've heard he's the Rishi Sunak of wingers.

Last I read they were fending off interest from Barca

If they really do want to shift him, I’d be interested for sure. He’d be an immediate upgrade on Lingard, and has the versatility to play a number of different roles.

So would Matt Richie, I wouldn’t sign him either. Luckily I think we’ll be setting our sights higher than more squad players for the wing.

I’m hoping we have a decent alternative to Sancho if we can’t get that deal done.

I would have guessed that you lot would have had enough of overpriced midgets who enjoy wandering around the final third playing the odd little rinky dink highlights reel pass here and there.

He supports Chelsea not Arsenal.

My bad.

How did you know I was talking about Arsenal?

Just seemed obvious.
