This was a minor discussion on another thread but it is something I find interesting.
Obviously without posting your surname, where does your name trace back to?
Mine traces back to Ireland then further back to France changing the t at the end to y as they moved to Ireland and then keeping it as is emigrating to Scotland.
On the other side my family name is pure Scots.
