As a supporter of one of the 'Big 6' I am very disappointed in the club I support backing this move. I can foresee many Tier 3 and 4 clubs going to the wall sadly. Football should not mean the PL only.

Massive power grab

I feel there is a duty on the Top 6 clubs to support the lower leagues. They could consider loaning (and continuing to pay the wages of) academy players to Tier 3/4 clubs in the region if the players are not immediately likely to get a place in the first team squad.

It's an absolute disgrace.

Shame on these money grabbing bar stewards.

Fortunately there's little chance of it happening.

good to see that bribery has come out of the shadows

the times reports today that the efl, whose chairman is rick parry, last friday turned down an offer of £375 mill for a 20% stake.
the offer was never put to the efl clubs.
