An eye for an eye

Someone posted on here yesterday about how Aubameyang and the Gabon players were made to sleep on the floor at an airport in Gambia ahead of the match between the two sides.
Well what we didn't know until now is that this apparently was a classic case of an eye for an eye.
Reports are now coming out that just a few days earlier the Gambia players were stuck at the airport in Gabon after a game as for some reason there were no airport officials at immigration to allow them to fly back home last thursday night. They were forced to spend the night at the airport and didn't leave until the next afternoon!
But I guess since they don't have a big star like Aubameyang to post it on social media , nobody seemed to give a sheite.
Am I bothered now that the Gabon players slept on the floor at the airport in Gambia? Helll nooo!
This is 2020. Everybody's looking out for themselves. Every country is looking out for its people. None of that "turn the other cheek" cr@p.
You don't want to be messed with , don't mess with nobody either. Simple as that.
I felt outraged about what the Gabon players went through on sunday night but after reading about a similar situation involving the Gambia players in Gabon a few days earlier ( which the media generally ignored ) , I say good for Gambia!
And the fact that CAF held a video conference with football authorities from both countries tells me that they're holding BOTH countries responsible for these embarrassing incidents.
And we've seen this sort of revengeful tactics by other countries at airports , haven't we? I remember in 2017 passengers from Turkey arriving at an airport in Vienna were treated like criminals and searched thoroughly by military officials with dogs. A couple of days later a plane from Austria landed in Turkey and the government took it upon themselves to single out and humiliate those passengers with the same tactics.
It's like the yanks say ... Don't start nothin' , won't be nothin'

Brazil have Yanks on the visa list purely because the US have Brasil on their visa list. They don't hide the reason either
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Just took a look and finally last year they relaxed the visa requirements.

How is it? I really want to go and explore in South America but the safety aspect has always put me off.

I love South America, never a dull moment. I think generally it is safe but there again anywhere is until you are directly impacted.

Of the traditional ten countries i have yet to visit Ecuador or Venezuela(pretty much off limits anyway) and will certainly be going back when this feckin mess is all over.

Buenos Aires is a great city, very much European in feel. Rio is also a great city but crazy eclectic, little bits and pieces strewn together with some great neighbourhoods. Went to one of the barrios which is an experience. Easter Island which belongs to Chile was my fave place ever, would highly recommend a few days there. The Inca Trail is awesome as well as is all of Peru to be honest but probably one of the more sketchy countries.

It’s as good as safe as travelling anywhere if you follow the usual sensible rules: read before you go and listen to the locals when you’re there.

Thanks guys

Yeah the Inca trail is really the main draw for me, I'm not much of a city visitor. I just need to swallow the brave pills and do it! I'll take your advice on board, Rosso.
