Credit where credit is due. A point at home to title contenders City is more than most would have predicted before kick off and keeps us in the race for a top 6 finish.
Fair play Ole
A very good result

Decent result. Not thrilled but I’ll take it. The most pleasing thing for me is that Maguire was apparently very good. He’s not worth what we paid, not a top, top defender and he wouldn’t be my captain over Fernandes, but he’s better than we’ve seen this season and can be a decent CB for us.

Disagree. They were there for the taking.

Both sets of fans will say that after that game.

Both would be right, Melts, but that's not how football works, is it? Fair result for me, not a great game, but a result we'd both have probably taken before kick off.

Yep thought exactly the same post. Don’t think either manager would be too disappointed either with the result.

I think that managers should be judged on more than just the one job they shared.

On a side note, I really cannot wait til the fans are fully back in the stadium. Finding all of this a bit meh at the mo.

Even so, I’m not sure I’d say Moyes was or is a better manager than Solskjaer. Getting Everton to fourth was decent but Liverpool had a weird season that year with the CL and everything. Moyes rarely got a win against better teams, which Solskjaer can do. And Ole’s already taken a team higher than Moyes did. Yes, a more expensive team, but he did so in his first full season with them and against many people’s predictions.

I’ve never really like Moyes but he’s a decent premier league manager, and he’s achieved more impressive things in his career. He’s built that reputation for himself. Ole hasn’t, he probably won’t ever get another premier league job in his career after he’s sacked.

Well, the result fitted all that that starting line up could have expected.
If setting up to get a draw, and then getting a draw is a "good result" then this result was a blinder.
Players like Maguire, pogba, DvdB, Fred, Fernandes and Cavani deserve a better attitude and team mates than that though.
You can't win without scoring goals. Weirdly.

Jose is a negative manager - but he gets results and wins trophies and doesn’t go on about United dna all the time

No, he was too busy going on about 'eritage, banging his own drum and knocking his own club and players.
