I can't believe posters on here are still saying we are doing well .More goals conceded than anyone else. Bielsa saying we won't change our style after that shambles.Playing thr same whether we're 4up or 4 down madness.I never thought I'd see the day that the headlines about a Leeds match would contain the words naive kamikadze about the team. And to those who say the team has been weakened by injuries this is what Bielsa wants namely a small squad .Nobady to blame but himself.

Bielsa seems very naive and that result has been coming. Can see Leeds start to plummet down the table as historically (correct me if I’m wrong) they have faired worse second half of season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
For all our naivety playing against better sides we have managed to win more points against top half sides than Chelsea with a squad of superstars. And Chelsea are yet to even score against a top half side. Maybe some naivety would help you out?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe, but didn’t realise to comment on one side meant another needed to be analysed too?
Chelsea have had many issues with injuries, new players and an inexperienced manager. Forgive me if I’m wrong but bielsa has been managed at Leeds for a while and you’ve got most your squad from last season?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly most of our squad are Championship players. We have all got injury problems, I would argue we have had it worse. But either way surely you can't think that the resources each manager has to deal with is similar?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When did I say that? I didn’t bring up chelsea at all lool
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What was the point of your previous comment then?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well read the conversation and you can see. Anyway back to Leeds. Are you not worried at all?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Of course there's a bit of worry. But as long we continue how we have so far we will be comfortable. If you read my comments above you will see why most of us trust the system as the best option we have despite the defensive problems.

We over react when we win. We over react when we lose

Yeah and that’s why ultimately the faith in the manager is fair.
I would disagree with any tweaks being dangerous, though. Even Pep does this because he knows it’s actually dangerous not to when playing against sides, and managers, that can really hurt you if you aren’t perfect.
And that expands on your point about the level of players being equal in the championship. Leeds will find it hard to achieve this in the premier league, and good players and managers at this level will always expose it more than teams in the championship could.
I think it’s why Bielsa suits working at lower level clubs as well. He can create a team that’s more than the sum of its parts, but as he’s done this it’s more acceptable for all the fack ups that come along with it.
The smaller margins for error at the very highest level would probably harm his reputation more than enhance it, I reckon.
You only have to look at the swathes of coaches over the years, that have got teams playing great football but failed to get them over the line for the biggest prizes and how they’re criticised.
But either way, he’s a great addition to the premier league. I don’t think I’ve ever seem a boring game when one of his teams is playing.

I think you have misread, maybe I wasn't clear. Tweaks are fine, but a change in philosophy is not. I'm saying we need to tweak rather than anything major.
I understand the rest of your points too. And obviously hope you are wrong. Bit difficult to prove otherwise and understand where you are coming from. I think you are wrong, but that could be bias on my part.

Oh right, sorry yeah I agree with that. The philosophy should remain the same, but I think some compromise on the approach in certain games would make Leeds a better side, and Bielsa a better manager if he did.
To make a comparison, Rodgers was often accused of being too uncompromising on his approach to games.
But I think he’s now starting to get a better balance to his set ups with Leicester. And they look a better, more rounded, side than they did when he first went there. And that’s despite having a lot of injuries.
It helps that they’ve got the most devastating counter attacking player in the league in Vardy. But your counters have been brilliant from what I’ve seen when you’ve had the chance, given how quickly you can transition and how many men you throw forward.

so far this year we have beat almost everyone we're supposed to. while i was super peed off yesterday im over it today. last year i would have been depressed till wednesday.
i love the way we play and wouldn't change for the days when we had monk putting me to sleep every game.
this season i had hoped and thought we would win as many as we lost, don't really see this changing.
so cheer up don and enjoy the ride. it will have some bumps this year.

Rodgers is a brilliant manager and will definitely have strengths over Bielsa. He’s consistently got more than the some of its parts out of his squads. So clearly agree with your praise.
Also think that transitions are the most important factor of the modern game. Currently we are great when winning the ball and poor when losing the ball. The way Bielsa deals with the latter is by being so dominant that the opposition can’t transition quickly. Now we are in a league with better players in general it’s really hard to be that dominant. And even if we are there’s players like you mention in Vardy who can counter regardless.
So as we sign better payers the system will become much more effective. But the tweaks you spoke about will still be required for players like Vardy and Rashford.
That’s what the like of Pep have done with Bielsa’s philosophy. And where the Bielsa may be too stubborn. But the few managers that are better will not come to Leeds and there is no comparison between Bielsa and Allardyce. And obviously Bielsa will always be a god at Leeds for what he has done for us

Yep I’d agree with all that.

Part of what I wrote on another thread:
Let's not forget that essentially this squad was floundering when MB came in. Why would you abandon what has made us successful for the last 2+ years?
I believe the vast majority of Leeds fans back MB all the way, shouldn't stop us chatting about things that we think could be done differently. That's what makes being a fan fun!

Donn, don't forget your arguing against "The Cosy Club" as named by NJS. You're not allowed to voice concern, you must agree with the clique or receive a torrent of abuse. Who cares that we were 2 down inside 3 minutes against our bitterest rivals and got thrashed 6-2and have conceded more goals than anyone. Every thing is just fine and dandy.

Fine to have opposing views but the presentation tends to be juvenile.
His and yours.
Nothing personal, just an observation.
