Will Jose be in charge next season?

Obviously Levy has a thing for Jose, but he is still a ruthless businessman. I think unfortunately we'll have to endure him this season but if he doesn't make CL football next season I think he'll pull the trigger.

Poch was sacked when levy thought CL football was getting away from him. As long as we're around top 4 and in Europa I think Jose is safe.

Ideal scenario is we win the league cup and he facks off. Will be very annoyed with levy if he gives him another season when we can actually go to matches.

What if he wins the Europa? Then he could finish 6th and still get CL football. And he'll be the most successful Spurs manager in the modern era.

This is the thing with blasé comments about us winning the Europa and league cup. We won’t. We are not good enough. City will humiliate us at Wembley, and there are comfortably 8 other better teams than us in the Europa.
If we played arsenal tomorrow I wouldn’t fancy us.

I think you’ve got rose tinted glasses. That Chelsea team was extremely dull and defensive. Mourinho’s Chelsea, United and Spurs teams have been similar levels of shiiiit on a stick football. Biggest difference was one had John Terry and Hazard.

Yeah Chelsea fans have told me that but I just don't see it. We had several games that first season where we were on top of the opposition but lacked a clinical touch with strikers like Torres in the team. Think it was that season where we had the stupid 40 shots to 1 vs. West Ham game where Mourinho made the black & decker comments

Still Mourinho was God to me at the time & it's not a popular opinion so I'll concede it may not have been as good as I remember it

Oh most definitely. There’s a reason everyone that had Chelsea inflicted on a them (that didn’t support them) were calling them the worst prem champions of all time. Leicester coming along a year made everyone forget how shiiiiit you were.

Thing that grinds my gears, if we didn't concede late equalisers against Newcastle, West Ham, Wolves and Fulham wed be about 8 points clear at the top

don't do that to yourself... also remember we got undeserved late winners at west brom and burnley which we easily could have not done. brighton at home too
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Good point we were rubbish in all those wins. Aside from Man U and Southampton perhaps City we've been negative rubbish

first half vs arsenal we did exactly what was needed and they played right into our hands. Completely just stopped playing second half and they were so toothless they couldnt even muster a chance which lesser clubs have been able to do v us.

Im no mourinho fan but as an outsider here my thoughts are you are 6 points off the top, you have the 2nd best goal difference in the league and you are in a cup final.

6 weeks ago yous were flavour of the month, best thing since slice bread now yous are cannon fodder. Reality is its somewhere in between that.

I really dont think there is much at all between yourselves chelsea and united (regardless of their current position). And out of them 3 over the course of a season im backing mourinho to have the edge over ole and lampard.

His football is turgid but thats how it has always been. He is good at what he does. Im pretty sure before a ball was kicked this season if u were offered 6 points off top and a cup final to look forward to youd have snapped it up.

a lot of the frustration is that the league is wide open and we are pissssing away points for exactly the same reason on a consistent basis.

if it was players making absurd individual errors or opposition scoring worldies then that's one thing. but its not.

its a constant pattern.

go ahead. all out defence. concede late. don't score again.

as if spurs will ever be a side to consistently see out 1-0 wins.. its never happened, and it never will... its so far from our DNA, and we don't have the personnel. at 1-0 up its so much easier to get the second goal than it is at 1-1 when the other team are happy with their point and are boyed by teir equalizer.

playing sissoko in an attacking position with bale Vinicius dele lucas and lamela on the bench is a joke. it simply cannot be defended.

3 DMs on the pitch at home to Fulham? what kind of nonsense is that

It is a bit mystifying that he doesnt take the shackles off a bit more given the attacking talent you have at your disposal. But I suppose asking a manager to change the fundamentals that has propelled him to 1 of the greatest managers of all time is also a bit of a stretch.

I get the frustrations, but most teams at the top have them frustrations this year, this season is like none other. Ive been tearing my hair out lately watching us fail miserably at breaking down some of the poorest sides in the league.

Yous know better than me obviously, I cant sit here and say I watch every spurs game. But I would not be the slightest bit surprised if come the end of the season he has won yous either the league cup or europa along with a top 3 finish.

============================

You're probably right but it's hard for us Spurs fans to see that or to even acknowledge because we could have and should have had more.

Let's see how the next month pans out, and I am sure that will be key for if Jose/Levy love-in grows stronger or a divorce is imminent!
