you could see last night why Real Madrid were the driving force behind the ESL. It is incredible how many of their once great players are still the mainstay of their team. Modric Kroos Ramos Benzema. The very spine of the team is at retirement age and to replace them will be a mammoth very expensive task. Those around them seem like average to good players but you just get the massive sense of the state of decline this club is in. I think it reflects La Liga in general.
Chelseas younger hungrier energetic team played them off the park. 6-0 would not have been an unfair result.
Perez talked about saving football, about football dying. Well in RM and in Spain that's the truth.
It makes it even more unbelievable that the EPLs biggest clubs, especially Utd City CFC with their massive wealth would even want to level the financial playing fields with these European giants over which the EPL has a massive advantage.
We will dominate for years to come and UEFA and these European clubs will do anything to try and close the gap.

Perez is a grade A numpty.
Real Madrid are not the first team to have to rebuild a squad and they won't be the last. Plenty of clubs have to make do with spending within their means on bargain basement signings or talented scouting of young prospects. None of these clubs decided to form a breakaway league to make their own rules are there's nothing special about Real Madrid. Perez needs to s*** it up.

Juve and Barce as well, the former at risk of dropping out of top four and the latter massive debts

Well said.
In the long run, what he tried would even have been damaging for the club itself. Creating a Superleague away from UEFA would mean burying the competition that the club's legend is built upon. A competition that's etched into the club's DNA and that it spent 32 years trying to reconquer.
The sooner he facks off the better.

A decade in the wilderness might do them some good. The need grounding.
