If anyone hasn’t watched Dion Dublin’s analysis of Kasper Schmeichel’s influence on Saturday I encourage you to do so. But it got me thinking.
Kasper is about to complete 10 years at the club. Morgan as club captain is about to retire from playing. Andy King never got to say goodbye to the fans properly and was there as the game cheering us on.
These players deserve a testimonial. And what better way to celebrate would be when fans are allowed back in to the ground, and when we can parade the FA Cup for the fans. People may also argue that Vardy should be celebrated, but I think he’s got longer in him yet, and he can have his own special testimonial when he finally retires.
I would love this to happen.
Whilst reflecting on the weekend, I really started to understand the importance of Kasper to our club. His performance, his reaction to the whistle, and his actions following it created an even deeper connection with the fans. He cared as much as all of us, and for a player in the modern era you don’t often see that. It meant so much to him, and as a result, he means so much to us.
Let’s celebrate him, our win and our other great servants of 10 years when we can. What a celebration that would be.

Great idea Mersey. Can't see why it might not happen. Brilliant suggestion by True Blue re Don Claudio. Perhaps he might even get his mate Signor Bocelli to give us a song as well.

If things keep on opening up, I'd love for there to be some sort of testimonial in the summer, for a number of players. I reckon we'd get a really big crowd for it too.

Brilliant idea and sure it would be well supported.
Was thinking of starting another thread but I'll add my question here as it would be his type of occasion:
I realise he must have been self isolating etc. but does anyone know what The Birch is doing? Really suprised we haven't heard from him over the last few days, unless I've missed it.
