For anyone watching the Euros what did you think of that decision?
Personally I think the game has become far too soft.

Felt it wasnt that high and a yellow would have sufficed, see players get caught on their ankles with stoods all the time and are not sent off? I only seen it a few quick replays though.

Watched it again and its not even high basically stands on his foot, VAR should have overturned it to a yellow imo. No intentions no dangerous play just mistimed bit late stood on a guys foot maybe the toes sxraped the front ankle.

I had to agree with John Hartson that the decision was harsh. I just thought the Welsh player was late and that it was unintentional.

It's a nasty tackle. I'd have probably given a yellow, but I can understand the justification for it being a red. Thought Hartson was wrong to suggest that the Italy player made the most of it. Clearly a dangerous tackle, and taking studs to the ankle is going to hurt. Lucky it didn't do any damage.
Reckon he'd have called for a certain red the other way round though.
