So this morning, I see none other than the gutter press specialists themselves, SkySports, are trying to push the 'Ronaldo to Man City' garbage. Firstly if you read the article or any others about it, none of them have any credible sources or quotes from Ronaldo or City to verify the legitimacy of the story. To be honest I still fancy that we will sign him and anyone who realistically believes he would sign for City is deluded. He loves United, not City, and for the reported £21 million I think we will make it happen.
All this is, frankly, is the anti-United media trying to derail our season again. The title race isn't even shaping up yet and we have it all against us: injuries to key players, referees costing us points and now the media trying to push a huge story about why Ronaldo will join City and not us. It was the same a year ago, with the huge uproar about Maguire and the incident in Greece; Maguire's 'conviction' is no longer recognised by their courts as the whole thing was a farce. Next up I predict the lowly BBC will report the story, which was probably first produced on Goal.com and then spread.
