I know it shouldn’t bother me because the vast majority of the time, his performances do the talking on the pitch, but it really winds me up the level of disrespect Harry kane gets by certain rival supporters, notably on Social media. You literally can’t find 1 kane post or article without some plank commenting on either his speech or “No trophies". Flooded with trolls even after a performance like that.
Why can’t people just appreciate a fabulous world class striker in his element? I have always said and I reiterate that Harry kane is the best striker in the world along with Lewandowski. I couldn’t careless about trophies, the guys record speaks for itself, but not only that, when he’s in the form he was in yesterday, he’s an absolute joy to watch. A sublime footballer that gets nowhere near the credit and respect he deserves
Ok, Gary Neville interview aside, he has been pretty much clean cut throughout his career. He’s a family man. He keeps his nose out of any trouble and in general, is a role model to any young fan. Why does he receive so much disrespect from rivals? It’s pure jealousy for me and that’s the only way to describe it
Keep going H, you were absolutely outstanding yesterday. World class striker.
Harry Kane

The lack of trophies criticism has always been a dumb one. You cannot say he hasn't done his bit to try and get Spurs some trophies. It's a team sport, not an individual one. Just because he isn't Drogba in finals doesn't change that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This. It really winds me up mate. Shearer was hardly riddled with Trophies his whole career, yet is lauded as one of the best English strikers ever. I agree a player of Harrys class should be winning trophies, but that doesn’t take away what a class act he is
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’m going to have to disagree on this point.
Kane has played in:
x2 League Cup Finals
x1 Champions League Final
x1 European Championship Final
and scored a grand total of zero goals. Drogba, on the other hand, wasn’t the most prolific striker, but scored in finals (I remember the league cup against us, FA Cup Final winner v United, Champions League Final v Bayern).
Even looking through Kanes semi final record - and he’s been in plenty - I can only remember one penalty in the League Cup v Chelsea, a goal against Chelsea in the FA Cup, and a penalty rebound v Denmark.
Big time players turn up in big games, and on the whole, I don’t feel he does.
Yesterday Kane physically grabbed that game by the scruff on the neck - he was incredible - but he hasn’t done that too often or for some time.
He’s a fantastic player, playing at his peak yesterday, and a major reason why we challenged for so long a few years ago, but I’m afraid to say he’s also a reason why we never turned those challenges into trophies.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
spot on!
Kane has had ample opportunities to show up and win a trophy for Spurs but has failed on every occasion.

This is a very telling statistic between the two players and emphasise the very diffrent type of striker roles they perform/performed
PL stat
Kane big chances missed 110
Drogba big chances missed 13
Now having watched the two players extensivley I can tell you without doubt that Kane is/was a better finisher than Drogba, despite what on first glance that stat could indicate.
So why the disparity?
Well I beleive that stat just highlights the very different roles the two players performed for their respective clubs.
Kane has been deployed as an out and out goal scoring striker where Drogba was deployed as a multi faceted/disciplined striker whose aim as well as to score goals was to also destroy defences with his pure physicality and athleticism for the benefit of his team mates. Ask Frank how that worked out.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you believe that stat about Drogba then you must also believe in the tooth fairy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep. Drogba only missed 13 big chances
Drogba was an average finisher, there is no way he only missed 13 big chances. He probably missed that many in the first 3 months of his time at Chelsea.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well stats for Kand and Drogba are taken from the official PL stats so take it up with them. I don't see ahy they would have Kane stats right and Drogbas wrong but the whole "big chance" thing is subjective anyway

Kane will go down as the greatest premier league striker no doubt about it
------------------------------------------------------------------------
To Spurs fans he will but to the rest of the world...nope..he'll go down as another world class striker who never fulfilled his true potential...coz he stayed at an unambitious club for 90% of his career.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bit like every Arsenal player then. At least we actually keep our best players unlike you
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You mean Levy imprisons them, they still always want to leave though.

Drogba an average finisher, you are drunk no?
Just because he wasnt an out and out goalscoring CF does not mean he was an everage finisher. Ite because he had a multi faceted role leading the kine for Chelsea. It was a pretty unique roll too.
The quality of his goals are right up there. Kane is a better finsiher granted, but no way was Drogba an averaeis Drp ge finisher, ask Jamie Carragher for one.
Ask Arsenal fans for another,

A 35% shooting accuracy but only missing 13 big chances in 250 odd games is nonsense.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am not going to advocate for the PL but the soursce is the same for both players and I am sorry i don't see why there is an obviously strong correlation with shooting accuracy and missing BIG chances.
Having said that the Big chances stats is very surprising
