So it looks like Conte's botttle has gone and he wants out and sounds as if he wants Levy to relieve him of his duties.... maybe an agreed termination without a big payout.....Surely he muist have known what he was getting into and the players in the squad.....or Levy has played a blinder by lying to him.
Is it a case of he's finally twigged we are not getting top4 and probably 7th or 8th or lower at the rate we are going. This = no money in the summer unless we get silly money for Kane, Son and Ndombele and reggie. All the loans with options to buy will not happen either.
We may be in a real sorry state come summer.
It makes me really angry that the players cannot be outed in the media the same as managers seem to be. The players are 95% at fault for all of it and get away scott free. I hope someone at the club is tell the players some home truths as only a few are actually fit to wear the shirt now.
I tottally get that cartain player may not be suited or like a 3 at the back system but that does not stop them putting in a shift and working hard for the team and each other. Most of them are not even doing the basics right. If you cannot do the basics then you have no right to be on the pitch ever as a professional.
We have Leeds, Midd, Everton, ManU next and I can see us losing all of them and I think Conte can see this too hence the speach last night.
So I think we are looking for another manager..... who do we think will be stupid enough to take it .... or who can we get..... I have no clue now as I think all the potential contenders will say NO now anyway.
I think we may all need to club together and hire a religous person to remove the curse we have.

The simple solution to that is to get rid of underperforming players who constantly let us down, and bring in better players. Admittedly we did some of that in January but not enough it seems.

I'm actually starting to feel sorry for the likes of Winks, Sanchez, Davies, Emerson etc. They're getting a lot of stick from our fans purely because they're out of their depths. They should not be part of a squad that has ambitions to win things (or at least qualify for top 4) because they don't have the qualities required. It is what it is and it's not their fault. It's the fault of whoever recruited them (i.e. Levy/ENIC).
NB I know that Winks came through the academy, but the principle is still the same.

Agree this is my biggest gripe. They players get away with it everytime and iuts clear they dont give two shats about the club or fans. its easy money in their pockets.
Nearly all of us who still work would be handed our P45 and shown the door if weunder performed in our jobs continuouisly like this lot.

The only people to blame are ENIC, you can not blame the manager given what he has been given to work with and you can not blame the players for not being good enough, it is not the player`s fault they are at the club, they give their all but are just not up to it.
The book stops with ENIC, they are not prepared to spend what is required and they think a top coach can polish turds, which (to them) is cheaper than signing top quality players.
Unfortunately, there is not a coach in world football that can turn the likes of Sanchez, Doherty, Winks, Hojbjerg, Royal etc into CL level players.
Buy cheap and you buy twice, the amount of money ENIC have wasted on `punt` signings in the at the lower end of the price range is staggering, Clarke, Doherty, Hojbjerg, Royal, Rodon, Bergwjin cost around £100m between them, we could have spent that on 3 top class players instead and been a whole lot better off.
Facking abysmal management of the football operation by ENIC, poor recruitment and shopping in the bargain bin has cost Spurs dear.
Countless top players have gone and most of them have been replaced with inferior players because the owners will not pay what is required to replace with similar quality or better.
Dembele, Vertonghen, Walker, Eriksen, Lamela, Wanyama, Dele all not replaced adequately.

And as for "a big payout" he actually says in the interview that he doesn't want any money from the club but will leave if it's what the club wants.

Conte came to Spurs with a strong pedigree who can tell what Levy offered him in the way of transfer cash he was probably given a Levy promise a bit like the one he gave Harry Kane not worth a toss, Conte wants out before the ship goes down.
