Pleasing. Very pleasing.
An enjoyable watch. The tempo and determination throughout the 90 minutes is something i have rarely seen from a celtic side oved the years. But for me the the most pleasing thing is something i've banged on about for a years - movement.
Every great team i have seen has players who pass the ball and then shift into positions to collect it again, having the oppositions players heads twisting and turning to keep up with them, throwing them off, pulling them out of position, causing disruption. This is what Rodgers wanted but never achieved, he had all the possession but it was so static that we spent 90 minutes passing the ball around our back four, it was boring and easy to defend against.
I'm not blinkered, theres times i've watched us this season and thought we are outstanding and then theres been points where we have looked like half the team we can be, but the progress is there. The "we never stop" clip shown at the start of the season may have seemed like something any good mansger would say but how many fiercefully enforce it? It was inspiring because the last managers motto was "lets stop and have a beer".
Its evident from players he likes and chose, hatate, kyogo, and maeda, the level of commitment and workrate he expects.
Didn't expect to win the league this year, IF we do it will be a massive ovee achievement given the nonsense that useless mutant left him to deal with.
On the games itself, two things.
1. Maeda isn't human, theres something no right there, might be a robot.
2. O'rileys second goal is goal of the season.

The league is the main win, so from rangers point of view reaching at least the europa semi and winning the Cup will salvage a bit of a bad season.
Good to see the bhoys back to the gloating and smiley ways

Omicron/bringing forward the break has been crucial for us btw, no point in denying it. We were on our knees squad wise. 4 signings made, 3 have shown their quality(shady for Ideguchi) Maeda, 1.5m is unreal, Hatate, 2m and O'Riley 1.2m. It's incredible business.

Ironically, Ideguchi is the one with the most caps, most minutes, most competitive minutes and decent goals assists stats for Japan out the 4 of them. He will be like a new player next season.
