I think it hard to judge any signing

We go for an unknown Brazilian for 18m and he's class
We go for an internationally proven Brazilian for 27m and he's been poor.
Sign an unknown from Bristol City for under a million whose outstanding yet sign a lad from Barca from 14m who struggles

You just have to have faith in the system. He's at a good age and seems to have good flexibility. But we will see

When Raphinha goes we will need James out wide. Hopefully he can live up to his transfer fee.

Hope we can hold onto Jack and Kalvin but money is a massive factor these days.

agreed, we must keep kalvin & jack.....& think james needs to play where he is comfortable

kalvin is leeds, who isn't .....pay him top dollar and he will stay, sign positively & he will stay

I would be very surprised if we play with wide midfielders/wingers next season. If James is used I expect it will be in a front 2. eg;

Meslier

Ayling Koch Cooper Firpo

Phillips Klich

Aaronson Harrison

Bamford James


I don't think James has the technical ability to be effective in the 'middle 2'

And I can't see Marsch wanting to have width, or needing to if Raphinha leaves as expected.

The lure of Man City and all the trophies they get (not to mention the money) will be immense even for a lad who is Leeds at his core.

I don't want him to go, but wouldn't blame him if he did.

I'd be shocked/disappointed if James starts in the
two ahead of Joffy. Joffy has shown more in a handful of
games than James has with us and his days at Them.

Shame about Swift going to WBA.
Would've liked him in our side.

I'm not suggesting that's the 1st choice starting line up. I don't really want to see James starting at all. But if he does play anywhere in this system it will have to be in a 2 up top.

I just used that line up as an example.

Would be happy to accept £15m for him if anyone comes in

Got it Faith. And I wasn't having a pop at you.
It was more a reaction to the "what if he does start
ahead of Joffy?" reaction. Which we both agree
should not happen in that front 2.
