Sancho or Grealish

Who is the bigger flop between them?

Both big money transfers and both came with high expectations at United and City. But they both have been utter shyyte and look like flops.

For me though Jadon Sancho is definitely the bigger flop of the two.
I've never in my life seen a Manchester United winger who has never taken on a defender or beat a defender and I've never seen him put a single cross into the box. Not once.
This guy is literally scared to run at defenders everytime he has the opportunity. He always takes the cowardly way out of stopping , turning around and playing the ball backwards or sideways.
Anthony Elanga certainly offers a lot more on the wings than Sancho who also appears to be quite a softie on the pitch if I'm honest.

Grealish is pretty awful too for City. And yes he is a flop. But at least he's won the league with them and he at least is willing to run at the fullbacks and make something happen ... even though usually he stinks at it.

Unpopular opinion, I don’t think either are that big flops. Grealish has actually been ok just not great and the
Price tag has masked that he has been ok, and Sancho has had a rocky start in a team that struggles for continuity and stability yet under its first competent manager has already looked much better

Yeh, definitely too early to judge Sancho. Grealish has had the stability of joining a team with a fantastic manager who has been there for a few years. The squad is pretty settled and the style set. Sancho couldn't have had much more if a disrupted start really. Ole started to play a differently due to Ronaldo arrival, then he got sacked, then we had Ralf who was only an interim manager. No-one had a clue what was going on or what we were supposed to be doing. Hopefully we are more settled under ETH moving forwards.

Both players need to raise their games. I don't watch City too often but Sancho needs to play with a little more intensity and urgency. I'd like to see him be a little brave and run at people more frequently and really try and take the game to the opposition. Too often he opts for the easy or safe option.

As others have said, he's a player that looks excellent in a well-oiled attacking machine at Dortmund, and hasn't had that same playing infrastructure in place at United (couple with adapting to a new league etc).

Hopefully under ETH we start to see some improvements - and to be fair, we've seen some improvements already including a couple of good goals.

The fact that Grealish has won the league with City is incidental. Anyone would with City. He should be judged purely on how well he has done and he hasn't been half as good as he should be.

Both have flopped so far but I have more hope of Sancho coming good.

First of all I don't think either can be considered flops - still too early to call.

Hardly any player has looked good for Utd in recent times, so now that ETH is in and can hopefully work out, we should see a better Sancho, but far too soon to write him off.

Like many, I just feel Grealish isn't a good fit for City. You can still see him moments of skill etc, but the team won't be focused around him and I think he needs that. But he won't be terrible for City, and I feel he will probably look better for England

Agree with this. Grealish hasn’t been as bad as made out and Sancho I think will really kick on this season.

And I don’t agree with that. Second half of last season, I thought we looked a lot better with Grealish in rather than out of the team.

He was bad yesterday though.

That's why players that are referred to as mercurial... It's worth the bad games for the very good ones

Not as bad as Mahrez though. Missed the line ups and didn’t even realise he was playing until just before half time….
