Sancho or Grealish

Grealish is definitely worse. I've not watched much of Sancho but he joined a team in a mess. Grealish walked into Pep's City when they were flying and flopped.

That said either would be seen as alright signings if they hadn't cost so much. No one's writing headlines about that Diallo fella

Grealish

Although some would say Grealish was a big fish in a small pond whereas with Sancho he was singed with all this promise and to grow into something special.

Grealish definitely. Sancho has been bad but it's not even close. The only time I noticed Grealish is when he was shiiit faced.

It’s about time the media start talking about Grealish as a flop. If somebody like Kane moved for that money and performed this poorly you wouldn’t hear the end of it. Maguire is another who got / gets slaughtered.

I think it's because City still steamrolls everyone even when he's on the pitch, so he gets away with it somewhat

Grealish would still be quality at the right club in my opinion.

Sancho is the bigger flop but at the same time probably has a better chance of turning things around

Neither have been great but the biggest thing for me is that Grealish has gone from being a player who was great to watch to one that mostly passes sideways and looks frightened to express himself.

The key difference is that we bought Sancho to solve our RW problem (even though he’s now playing on the LW which EtH says is his preferred position) whereas Grealish was bought to bolster options with no real guarantee of being a starter.

Both clubs spend huge amounts but City in general do far better so are less scrutinised.

Grealish

Maybe if Pep says something along the lines of "just get your head up and look for Haaland in the box" he might improve his contributions a bit!

Equal probably, both have been crap

You might as well be describing Sancho then.

Never takes on his man, never beats his man. Never crosses. Not once!

I actually think if they swapped shirts they’d both be much better off.

The guardian did an article on that very same suggestion last season if I recall

The difference is I never saw Sancho do that before his move, having not watched much of Dortmund.

really? This season? What games are they watching?

I thought Sancho had started the season relatively well. Great goal against Liverpool and might get back in the England squad. Both have miles to go before they’re worth their fee but Sancho is beginning to look good and once Antony settles the defences will have two tricky players to worry about instead of two and we might see Sancho blossom

Your point was that you've never seen him cross. Not once! The stats say he has made four crosses this season. (Conversion rate depends of course on the duel between the defender and forward trying to receive the ball not just the quality of the cross. But your point was not that he rarely crosses or that his crossing is an ineffective tool.) You said he never takes on and beats his man. The stats reflect the fact that he does take on his man and so far this season has a 58% success rate (which I believe is sometimes known as 'beating one's man' ) when he tries.

So, you've looked at proof that both of your statements were factually wrong and decided that it validates what you said.

I think the context of the two teams is surely the deciding factor. United were a complete shambles last season from back to front whereas City finished…..

Shame the OP wasn't a United supporter when the likes of Ralf Milne and then Bebe played .for us
