It will be interesting to see our Commercial revenue when our figures are released. Last season was the first really when we had some regular events since Covid, NFL x 2, Boxing etc.
This year it has ramped up even more with Guns & Roses, Lady Gaga, Rugby, NFL, and a World Heavy Weight title fight, Beyonce x 4.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And all this money goes towards what? It’s not football is it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dunno? Has our transfer spending and wages gone up appreciably since the new stadium opened
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think it's fair to say it has, sadly not as much as some of our competition. When the stadium idea was floated..... Nobody knew City were bending the rules, Newcastle would become part of Saudi Arbia, Chelsea would go on a spender bender that made Roman look cheap and United might finally get rid of the Glazers and get bought by Jim Radcliffe.. Hindsight is a wonderful thing !!!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you look at Liverpool and United though, their spending is now limited. I dunno what Liverpool do with all their money because they have had success, they sell out, they have decent sponsorship yet they have not invested much in net terms. May be their wages are OTT?
United, could not afford to spend this Jan. Not sure if that's FFP or they are just skint having splashed £220m in the summer.
Money makes a big difference and that is why Spurs, who on the face of it cannot compete against the massive clubs and those propped up by wealthy owners, need to be well run, need to extract as much revenue from as many sources as possible and need to control costs such as wages, to be competitive.
I think off the pitch we are as well run as we could be, while I joke about a bonus for Levy for these commercial revenues, it is a significant source of money which we would not otherwise have and helps diversify our revenues. At a guess we probably make £20m from these large events over a year. That pays a lot of the interest on the stadium so our matchday, which went up about £80m a year is largely extra revenue.
I think we can compete. We just cannot go from Nuno's team to a title challenging squad in 18 months. We need at least 1 more window and this summer, if Conte and Kane stay, should really see us invest further to get us into a position to challenge.

I have a family member who works for Scottish rugby and deals with Murrayfield when it is hired out for gigs or the like, he has said the artist does get the majority of the cash and the drinks and food etc are also part of the deal, he did say that on occasion the artist has been able to bring in their own catering staff to work alongside the merch folk but sometimes Murrayfield use who they nornally do
What he did emphasise is that Scottish rugby, who initially didn't want to rent it out years back would now not stop doing it as the cash earned (he has never said a figure) is well enough to have them get over any initial misgivings, sure Spurs will do pretty well out these kinda rentals
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs corporate stuff is off the chart. This stadium was designed to do these things, not just football or NFL but big events with huge capacities and loads of premium packages. about 15% of the stadium capacity is premium seats and Loges.
It is designed to offer everything needed by the "user", its own NFL changing rooms, premium onsite accommodation, VIP areas. Like i say it has been designed to accommodate mega stars from sport and entertainment, and will do so better than any other venue in the land, and will therefore cost a premium.

they will all add up however and the club would certainyl rather have that income than not have it !
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah definitely, especially if you consider this level of revenue of a long period of time. Can only benefit Spurs long term!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
the club wouldnt be putting them on if they were not benefitting from them. the values wont be as much as people hope for though. some of the values mentioned are mental!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Clearly your guess work is better than ours
The fact you think tickets top out at £200 undermines your sums from the word go. You get get packages that cost from £350 - £700, and anything under £499 is sold out already! So at least some of the Spurs fans guess work is less mental than yours.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
what guess work??
I gave the figures ... 40k tickets per night being sold not the 75-80k as was mentioned?
I said the general public tickets for the most part is £55-£200 of course you will get packages but they are that "packages" i was quoting the general ticket prices.
there will be VIP back stage meet Beyonce tickets being sold also but these will cost thousands ... I thought peope would work out themselves I wasnt speaking about random "packages" when I said tickets
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The 75-80k was in reference to attendance numbers and financial numbers.

If the stage is at one end of the playing area, then there could be around 75-80,000 on the night. Not sure the price of the tickets but they are not going to be cheap. Add that to the hospitality suites on offer it should be a lucrative two evenings for the club. I would hazard a guess at around £6m in revenue at least.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
£100 x 75,000 = £7.5 mill.
So you think beyonce, the organisers, support acts, staff etc will only be £1.5 mill?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The £6m quoted was to do with hospitality and catering. Most of the ticket revenue would go to the artiste!

If the Spurs deal is the same as Murrayfield (no idea to be fair?) the artist also takes a good whack of the hospitality income but even if it was 50% I'd wager a few quid would be spent at a gig that size so the amount wouuldn't be insubstantial?
