For all of De Gea's faults the guy like the rest of the team played great today. If you can't enjoy a solid team performance away from home against Barca, football and following United isn't for you!

I enjoyed the game. But he didn’t play grate. We’ll keep conceding cheap goals like this as long as he’s starting games. That’s what’s frustrating, especially when it costs us a win at the Nou Camp.

Not really Greg. He was doing what he should have which was covering Lewa. He rightly didn’t expect him to miss it.

It was just a soft goal that should have been stopped further up the pitch.

Not really Greg. He was doing what he should have which was covering Lewa. He rightly didn’t expect him to miss it.

It was just a soft goal that should have been stopped further up the pitch.

If it was him, then yes. I actually thought Shaw was guilty of the poor pass that gave them back possession. It was poor whoever it was.

Shaw gave Casemiro the ball in a poor position in fairness but it was still a very careless pass from him to gift Barca possession.

Agreed, largely.

It was a great result, and it was great to see Fred playing closer to his most effective position - i.e. not so deep.

And clearly United are slowly adopting a more 'united style' of line-up. However, the OP is, half-way, onto something. United in that would start to approach being a more complete and balanced team if they sorted out the 2 extreme points of the central spine.

A proper centre forward and gk, and then perhaps a more realistic tilt at the league next year would be a possibility. But I'll wager it won't happen.
