Four Chelsea players are about to join the Saudi Pro League.
Ziyech
Mendy
Kante
Koulibaly
The Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund - which owns Newcastle United - are major investors in Clearlake Capital, who were part of the group which bought Chelsea. Chelsea are known to need to sell players to comply with FFP.
Doesn’t sit right at all. I hope the Premier League investigates it.

Surely they are considered part owner in Chelsea then, and in breach of Premier League ownership rules.

Does anybody think there is a religious angle to those going to Saudi?
Kante, Koulibaly, Ziyech, Mendy, Mahrez.are all Muslims as far as I'm aware. Could it be they wish to live in a Muslim country?

Premier league brought this on themselves by allowing City to corrupt the league.
One consideration is what happens when a Saudi club buys Mbappe and then loans him to Newcastle for £0 as a way around FFP?
Wouldnt surprise me if Neves finds himself on a season long loan to Newcastle very soon

PFI invest heavily with Clearlake.
Clearlake buy Chelsea.
Chelsea sell players to PFI owned clubs.
PFI's investment in Chelsea benefits from PFI owned clubs buying unwanted Chelsea players.
How long before Newcaslte get £100m bid from Saudi for Longstaff???
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Or Saudia or whatever that airline is called sponsors Newcastle for 50m a year
Then an email is found with PIF telling them it’s ok they’ll give them the money for it they just need to forward it to Newcastle?
Think I’ve seen that somewhere before….hopefully Newcastle don’t want just long enough to respond to enquirers to time Barr said enquirers
Can’t imagine that would ever happen in the real world though

Not really ! The wealth of the premier league is generated through its own success and revenues. They have made themselves market leaders which has given them a competitive edge over other leagues.
The Saudi league generates a fraction of the revenue and is yet spending bigger than the PL. With seemingly unlimited spending power that have the ability to destabilise and distort the European leagues which will not be good for the average fan

I mean a bit harsh, as people may just be ignorant to the facts.
Which are apparently this saudi contingent have under a 5% stake in clearlake, among numerous other investments which have links to football clubs. In regards to the actual takeover of the club, there was no involvement.
