Throw-in yellow cards

While I agree with the leagues decision to keep the ball in play for most of the 90 minutes, this is becoming ridiculous now.

It is very subjective whether time wasting is intended or not. And what is the time limit allowed to take a throw-in?.

I guess this depends on the scoreline and time of the game. A team that is 1-0 up will be seen as wasting time, but a team that's losing can never be seen to be time wasting (even if they take same time to throw the ball).

A much better way would be to reverse the throw-in if a team takes longer than X seconds.

Lot of words but no evidence still, despite you saying you'd "leave it there" 🤔

We lead a lot of games really early last season.

Oh dear. Shall I send you a letter to tell you I have no evidence? Should I get it stamped at the Chamber of Commerce? Perhaps I could get it notarised for you at the Foreign and Commonwealth office? Would you then see that I've said this already?

Look - I HAVE NO STATISTICAL EVIDENCE AND AM GOING ON THE GAMES I WATCHED. YOU HAVE NO STATISTICAL EVIDENCE TO PROVE I'M INCORRECT AND ARE GOING ON THE GAMES YOU WATCHED.

Do you get it now?

So now we've finally established that there are no stats as the ones available are flawed(I hope?) we have only our opinions on what we saw. You're too defensive and biased to accept another opinion and have put up the walls, gates, moats, tanks and artillery everywhere to stop this perceived attack on your club, so it's pointless.

I said I'd leave it there but then you posted that you'd provided evidence on three occasions, so whilst I had left it there, I decided not to leave it there in regards to your new statement. I hope this is allowed and you don't have a rule in place that forbids this as I wouldn't want to have to break through your heavily fortified defences again just to have an opinion.

Lot of words to say "I have unsubstantiated opinions and you've hurt my feelings"

Shame

So little words to say I finally see you're saying this isn't backed up by evidence but an opinion and I disagree with that opinion but want to degrade your opinion as I'm defensive about anything perceived as an attack on my club.

Shame.

Time wasting is part of the game, have no issue with teams who are leading and then slow down play from the 80th min onwards which is what Arsenal kinda do.

The problem is the teams who do it from the first minute with the scores still 0-0. And if they score early it just gets worse and worse.

The simple solution is when the ball is dead stop the clock.

The minutes in play suggests we aren't wasting time consistently, the time taken over our stoppages suggests we aren't wasting time consistently, the lack of yellow cards for time wasting suggests we aren't wasting time consistently

All of these back up my point that we aren't "one of the main culprits" as you put it and that you are indeed chatting shiiit.

I have facts, you have nothing 🚮

No I agree it's worse when teams do it from the first minute but if it's there to be abused, lesser teams will abuse it from the start as they try to gain an advantage. I think what they're doing now will work, when teams realise they can't get an advantage and in fact it works against them due to cards. It's only the second week.

Oh you're too stupid to have this debate. I couldn't work it out before as you weren't saying much, you've removed all doubt now. As you were.

Resorting to insults now 🚮

You just can't admit you don't know what you're talking about, any sort of stat that proves arsenal were one of the main culprits will do pal.

Go on, you seem invested enough to keep replying, use that energy to back up your nonsense
