Former United defender Paul Parker on Marcus Rashford:🗣️"I was criticising Rashford when he scored goals because I wanted him to provide more for the team. Now, he is not scoring goals anymore, and his decision-making is still poor,"
"Everyone was saying that he was winning Man United games, but the only thing they could come up with is that he was scoring goals.
"It has taken people a while, but now they are finally seeing that he is not contributing to anything.
"He should be because he is a fast winger with decent technical abilities, but in fact, he is just a selfish player who lives on the back of being good in February.
"I think that Man United rushed in too quickly to give him this huge contract. Overall, he has been delivering a poor return throughout his Man United career. That's a fact."
"What he is doing is something you would expect to see in a schoolyard from a petulant child. You wouldn't expect it to happen at Old Trafford. Not in a million years.
"But he does that every single time, and it shows me that he might not be a player for Man United after all. He needs to change his game and his attitude."
Wow. He has gone in hard on Rashford there. ETH style attemptnat motivating Rashy, or genuine disappointment?

Can't argue with any of that can you?

I certainly can
This is about as idiotic as it gets:
"Everyone was saying that he was winning Man United games, but the only thing they could come up with is that he was scoring goals."

Agenda is a bit stupid when a lot of fans feel that way.

There is no agenda, Red. Irks fans no end when a guy literally with the world at his feet can blow hot and cold so much. If he was bang average, fair enough, he's not, he has talent.
Maybe the fans need to learn and readjust their expectations, don't expect too much from him.

The Rashford defenders are using similar arguments the Ronaldo defenders used.
Bizarre given some of those posters were amongst Ronaldo’s biggest critics.

Strange times when loyalty to certain players takes precedent over loyalty to the club. In Ronaldo’s case, it’s a bit understandable given his global status as a living legend, who has won so many trophies. Rashford hasn’t won anything yet, and given his selfishness and lack of effort, I don’t think he’ll win anything.

Rashy doing nothing again so far vs Burnley

The amount of times he ignores a runner right in front of him, only to lose it or pass it backwards.

Parker's conclusions are spot on in terms of Rashfords non-suitability for this club. Although he's missed pointing out that that's always been the case anyway. However, he's also made some fundamental errors in his analysis in reaching that conclusion.
Firstly, Parkers wrong about Rashford having "... decent technical abilities ...". He doesn't, not at this level. That's actually one of his major weaknesses.
Secondly, Parker puts his lack of necessary contribution at this level to his being "selfish" or "petulant". Nope, it's simply down to the poor decision making he'd already pointed out, plus the lack of technical ability in putting those poor decisions into practice.
Oddly, it was similar problem for coco, although obviously the required technical abilities are very different.
Rasford contributes little to any starting line-up and could easily be replaced, without deficit, by any number of jobbing midfielders from any number of Europe's major leagues.
Lovely bloke and all that, but his presence is denying the club an opportunity to play football with the right kind of players in the right positions. There is not a single orthodox or recognised position in the teams 'formation' that he can fill better than someone else who's already at the club. So why play him at all. Constantly just trying to fit him in, simply wrecks the teams shape

Rashford is the least of your problems.
But go ahead, hound out the last few United players that actually still give a fack. It's your funeral, literally.
