Well that's put an edge to a fixture

Well today's confirmation about Rooney has added an edge to our home and away fixtures against Birmingham City.

Hopefully when the inevitable chants start JV will feed off them and answer in the style which we all love.

Oh and while this should not be taken as a challenge, any overtly immature comments will just be deleted

Such an odd choice by Birmingham. John Eustace was doing a good job. Stinks of PR.

I watched the Birmingham-West Brom match on TV and I also saw John Eustace being interviewed. Never was there a hint that he was in trouble at the club and there was no suggestion from within the commentary team that he was in danger of losing his job. I was shocked to hear of what had happened but, of course, we don’t know of everything that goes on behind the scenes.

I think they’ve made an error of judgement here. An American owner I believe.

American ownership for sure. Really not sure that Rooney is the best fit either. His track record to date isn’t exactly one to write home about. Considering that Birmingham are currently sixth in the division, it is perhaps surprising. A Bluenose fan suggests that no wins in September, a defensive mantra and his team selections (Hogan as striker but no goals) plus signing Troy Deeney hasn’t helped his cause. Also suggested Eustace was “too nice”.
As AFV suggests, should no doubt put an added edge to proceedings.

What an edge it’s put on the fixture. It’s going to get a bit of media attention I’m sure. I can’t wait to see how awks it all is and what the chanting is going to be like.

I’m sure Vardy and Rooney will respectfully ignore each other but the fans and media might not.

How much fun would it be if Vardy scored a last minute winner 😬.

I’m sure they’d both rather just ignore it but you can be sure both sets of fans won’t

Ps Nothing against Rooney but I hope they crash down the League after the Clubs Crass decisions .

they have done this before. Sacked a decent manager who i cant remember at the moment .they were in a good position to go up but went for a high profile manager in Zola. He won 2 out of 24. They nearly went down.
