I still dont get why we are afraid of just putting rashford and Bruno away for a bit, use them as a sub for a while. This is 4 straight months of poor performance. Nobody else can get away with one week of poor performance. We've dismissed Amrabat, Mount, VDB without giving them a consistent run ever.

Rashford scored a pretty goal goal at the penalty and couldn't even get himself to celebrate. Bruno too has done this too. They both know they are underperforming and theres no one to motivate them or punish them for it. It's not going to change.

The big problem with Bruno is that if he is not producing those moments then he just doesn’t offer anything. He loses the ball far too much.

Compare to a player like Scholes. When he didn’t score or assist he still had a seven or eight out of ten game because he did not lose possession often (until his later years).

If Bruno does not produce he struggles to break five out of ten.

Very true. I feel he’s become worse in this regard since his early days at the club also.

He has always been like it. It was known before we signed him.

Mainoo offers us a really nice selection headache in midfield. Him and Casemiro could be a nice pairing.

In attack we still have issues. Garnacho scored an incredible goal but didn't do a lot otherwise, and Rashford... well.

I'd actually not be against seeing Martial on the left and Mount on the right, with Bruno, Casemiro (when fit) and Mainoo the other three.

It was the reason he went on loan and came back. Why we were the only one to go out for him. We've made him a mini god now, club captain when he should be looking for a new club in Saudi Arabia

What’s frustrating is he’s capable of improving his all round game if he keeps things simple more often.

I doubt it Busby. Even prior to signing him, I believe I read somewhere top clubs stayed away from him due to the amount of times he lost possession.

Fair play he came and delivered some phenomenal numbers, however I do not believe Bruno is ever improving this side of his game to the required level.

About 10 times yesterday when we barely touched the ball for 25 mins, Bruno just wacks it forward and gave it straight back to them. Fking p!ssed me right off

More than anything this is my biggest pet peeve with Bruno.

It's just really unintelligent play. We finally get the ball back and just need to string a few passes together to regain a foothold in the match and he goes and tries to hit a glory ball straight away. He seems to have no sense for what the team needs in the moment.

This. I think the problem is that he just isn't that good any more and lives off those glory moments. The difference between him and KDB is vast. No one levels the accusation at KDB that he gives the ball away too much.

Id say just reset the team and start playing the younger ones Mainoo Garnacho Hoilund etc and drop Rashford, Fernandes etc and see where it takes us.

Highly unlikely to make top 4 anyway and we lose all rythm when Rashford and Fernandes play.

If fit, the most reliable, and strongest line-up has to have been the following:

Awb
Varane
Maguire
Shaw

Garnacho
Fernandes
Mount
Sancho

Martial
Hojlund

... and thats been consistent all season - in some cases longer

The big issue has been, that that has never happened.

There are valid arguments for the likes of Amrabat, Erickson and Anthony, but the rest are just bench players
