R.I.P Stan Bowles

I remember going to QPR with my fiends for the opening game of the season. Rangers had been on tour somewhere hot pre season and we saw the players all tanned run out on the pitch. Not Stan, he was last out ( was that a cig he threw away) and as pale and white as ever - then played a blinder

He certainly could play. I didn’t see him myself but I vaguely recall there was an occasion in which he was missing from the dressing room about a quarter of an hour before kick-off time. He was in the bookies.
