One emerging positive is the performance of Dragusin in the Euros. Getting MOM in first game and showing what he can bring to the team. Providing we keep Romero (with Real sniffing around) then it is more than likely we will start with a back three of Romero, Dragusin & Van de Ven. A better back three would be difficult to find🤔

and Udogie for a back four?

Romero is the best damned defender we have.
Teamed up with VDV and Udogie and , if to be believed, a very good Dragusin, we're solid at the back.
Why Real Madrid?
They've got everybody already!

I’d sell Romero if we got an offer of around £75m-£80m. We have let in a daft amount of goals the last 2 seasons with him being around - not diminishing his ability, but he clearly isn’t the defensive difference maker for us.
Buy another young CB that can rotate with Dragusin and Micky and then use the remainder towards the other holes in the squad.
My only negativity with the new fixtures is that we have to wait until the Monday night before we start our season - bloody annoying, but what can you do

£75m-£80m
You been hitting the pipe already

We paid £50m for him and he is an automatic starter for us. We would only sell for that amount, I’m sure of it - especially s it’s Real Madrid that’s sniffing round and they’ve only ever paid through the nose with us - and got good quality in return.
Otherwise, we will be very happy to keep hold of him

Any links to Real Madrid?

Yeah there were a few last week, he is apparently their top defensive target.

Where from? Haven't heard/read anything myself over here - not that I've been following.
I find t odd we'd shell out that kind of cash on a CB when we've already got Rüdiger, Militão, and Alaba (dunno if Nacho's leaving in the end, last I heard it seemed he was).
You never know, but £75-80M on an area we don't particularly need strengthening all that badly doesn't sound right. I'd sooner expect us to splash on a full back or two.

Will be nice to get 3 point lane out of the way early when Spurs are still trying to figure out how to fit their last minute loan signings into the team.
