If anyone can find rumours about Wolves in the next 2 weeks, bung it on 'ere, so we can either confirm, debunk or even laugh at it.

Blimey, if all that lot left we'd struggle to put out a 5-a-side team.

Could be Fosun are planning to leave a scorched earth behind them? The Crown Jewels will be sold in the summer regardless, we’ll have to wait to see if they’re selling the family silver as well.
Fosun Out!

Hearing rumours that a Middle Eastern investor is lining up a big bid? Interesting

Hope that works out better than last time.

Read this earlier over lunch, seems China's general strategy to growing the game mirrors fosun's with Wolves, throw the kitchen sink at it, achieve moderate success, stand aside and watch it gradually fall on its ahse, scratch head in incredulity.
I also wasn't aware just how much of a personal ambition of Xi it was for China to become a dominant football nation. Always thought it was more of a national reputational thing.

Problem the Chinese have is that their sports men and women are agile and fit and will succeed at gymnastics and swimming and the like. But in sports like football they’re just not physically strong enough

That's quite a sweeping generalisation to apply to a nation of 1.4 billion people.
As the article states, their pyramid is upside down, their kids aren't kicking balls in the street, they threw money at a handful of pro clubs to attract talent from across the globe but there's no grass roots. Same will happen in Saudi I imagine.

I think they are seeing some improvement in players in Saudi and some are holding their own in teams with foreign stars. Long way to go though. In China the national team doesn’t seem to have improved at all.

Quite true of course but it’s a view shared with me by some Chinese friends

Reading that Man Utd are interested in signing Vitinha from PSG. There are a few clubs interested and there’s reports that to fend off rivals Utd may be prepared to offer up to double the £50m release clause in his contract.
If that attitude is out there then maybe might get more than the £62.5m release clause in Cunha’s contract
