Thoughts on last night

After reflecting on the game last night, my thoughts are as follows:

1) I’m buzzing with the result

2) When the players abandoned Amorim’s system we came back

3) We still conceded 4 at home which isn’t good enough

4) Bottling a lead and then going 2 down to 10 men is embarrassing

5) The celebrations at FT were totally OTT. We haven’t won anything, nor are we even in a final

6) Too many of our players aren’t good enough

7) Our players have questionable mentalities, hence Dalot in tears at FT

8) Harry Maguire may not be perfect but hes arguably underrated

9) Our season is a disaster if we don’t win the EL

10) Bilbao will be very difficult to get past

We didn't bottle the lead, they played we and deserved it. They were dangerous all game.
I really like the look of Yoro and Ugarte.
The Bruno penalty gave us believe.

We did bottle it. 2-0 up at home with 20 minutes left is bottling.

As is conceding another 3 in ET to ten men.

Sorry 52 it is.

Imagine coming up with mainly negatives after a night like that, especially when some are wrong. I’m still buzzing and been back 9 hours. Please go and support somebody else

I’ve said I’m buzzing. But there are glaring issues in our team. A win against ten men won’t change reality for me
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It sounds like us losing last night would have suited your agenda more. Of course there are issues but not many of them are on Amorim at present , if its still the same in a year and he had bought his players then yes it might be.

Did Lyon bottle it too?

The OP makes out like those of us that enjoyed last night are now thinking we are back to being the best team in england or something.

We enjoyed it so much because the season has been poor.. So the highs feel a bit higher.

Simple minds don't understand nuance though.

It is clear that Alice’s mental abilities are a tad slack.

1) I’m buzzing with the result

As one should be of course

2) When the players abandoned Amorim’s system we came back

Not really relevant, it wasn't any 'system' (or absence of) it was footballers playing football

3) We still conceded 4 at home which isn’t good enough

obviously, but then that defence (bar Maguire and an on-form Shaw is a joke)

4) Bottling a lead and then going 2 down to 10 men is embarrassing

That'll be the crap defence (especially dalot who wasnt even in the defensive line-up)

5) The celebrations at FT were totally OTT. We haven’t won anything, nor are we even in a final

not in context it wasn't - and they DID win

6) Too many of our players aren’t good enough

Obviously, they are not as league players, but they are clearly all 'cup players' - and, believe it or not, yesterday WAS a cup match

7) Our players have questionable mentalities, hence Dalot in tears at FT

Dalot is just awful, full stop - his emotions are little or nothing to do with anything to do with his abilities

8) Harry Maguire may not be perfect but hes (sic) arguably underrated

He is, but then those that know have made that obeservation many times.

9) Our season is a disaster if we don’t win the EL

It's been a crap season regardless - love 'cup' stuff but as a league team MUFC only have about 11 players that can match the better players at the two top squads in the EPL (CFC and MCFC for those not paying attention).

Just being on a par with the squads of LFC and AFC just ain't good enough for the biggest and most successful club in the history of the English league

10) Bilbao will be very difficult to get past

Depends.

If Bilbao concede, they will fold.

It's up to United to not be scared of Bilbao's pointless mincing about in midfield, and take full advantage of the use of the greater pace and ball control up front.

We shouldn’t be fooled by last night. Amorim still has to go.

By saying this still it more or less confirms that anything you post is nonsense and should be ignored, the username is cringeworthy

Culer I have no issues with the celebrations. It's a great comeback in a Quarter final. I'd expect most teams to celebrate in that manner. Man U have a very good chance to win this tournament now. Obviously if you do go on and win it everyone will look back at this match.
