Can anyone give a good reason as to why this guy should be trusted with hundreds of millions on pounds to spend on new players?
What has he shown throughout all competitions this season that he knows what he is doing?
Anyone with half a brain cell could take one look at his team selection and could see it was poor choices.
- Bruno is not a deep midfielder and never has been
- Shaw shouldn't be starting
- mount shouldn't be starting
- ridiculously late subs for the players who were absolutely useless while they were on the pitch
- mainoo got about 3 seconds game time. The only player in the entire squad who knows how to control a ball with a bit of finesse.
- maz is not a fkiiinng wingback.
- Dorgu, is, ch!t, and this manager spunked almost 30 million up the wall on him
- constantly moving players positions around so there is no stability in any sort of tactic he is trying to teach them.
He's has an entire season to feck around with the squad, yet he still can't get it right. What good is a pre season going to do it he can't even figure out what he's doing throughout an entire PL season, which was pretty much thrown away to focus on the Europa.
He needs to go, but I know the owners won't have it in them to fire him. The owners also needs to go, as long as a long list of players.

and he hasnt had an entire season at all ... he has had 1 winter transfer window to which the club brought in a young cheap LB.
I dont know what was to be expected tbh. you have a very poor squad right now full of over paid players that dont seem to hve any real desire. And 1 transfer window bringing in a LB wasnt gonna change that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Come on, he had what, 29 facking matches. Near enough an entire season with cups included.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
its really not, its half a season. you have played 59 games this season so if your 29 is correct then its half a season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
29 out of 38 is half a season? Epic maths.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you thick?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm confused. What are you asking me, you dumb Scouse cun7?

To be fair, I completely forgot Ruud managed us for a few games, so Rubens numbers are slightly lower, but still way over half a Pl season.
Either way, he's a chit manager who should be fired immediately.

He has managed 26 PL games to date. Which is 75% of a PL season.

But he still needs a pre season so we can see what he can really do?
This season was his extended pre season, and he was extremely poor, yet people still want to give him a chance. Based on what?
Even our Europa performances were poor, to be honest, fortunate that we played against 10 in a couple of them, and that Bilbao were absolutely horrendous.

based on him not having a fair chance to achieve his goals.

I think that it is always hard for a manager to come in during the middle of the season and completely change the way a team is playing. Probably more so with Amorim's specific system. Which is obviously why he wanted to wait until this summer, when he would have chance to properly work with the squad in pre-season and also bring in a few of his own players that better suit his methods. He did say that it would get worse before it got better.
I have to say though that I didn't expect it to get as bad as it has done. I am swaying towards him staying, mainly because I like that way that he conducts himself and I feel that he has the balls and confidence to sort the squad out. However, if he is given the boot, it is hard to argue in his defence too strongly. My main worry being that we sign players that suit his system, he leaves, then we are left with them.

That’s why we should sack him now.

Surely the players we sign who can hopefully adapt to his system are simply good players. This is the only issue that worries me about Amorim - if players are good enough they can adapt, and so how much is it to do with Amorim's skills in getting the players to adapt, and how much on the actual players themselves.
Yes, we have some duds, but I still don't believe they are all that bad to be where they are and whatever the system, football is football at the end of the day. So whilst we have to get the right players in, Amorim has also been poorer than expected this season.
All managers will want certain players, but good players can adapt to different systems.

United need an effective striker in that system. Its the glaring issue.
But the other thing that is problematic is how Bruno plays. Last night showed that the deeper role marginalises him. He should have been in Mounts position, but really, you will want Cunha in that position as a genuine left-sided attacker.
Not sure how you get the best out of Bruno in Amorim's 2 man CM. The only thing i would see is that the LWB is such an attacking force that the left sided attacker could be Bruno and he could float a bit from there. But your LWB is a bit meh, although still young/new.
