Should We Cheat Like Forest?

Should we break the PSR , FFP etc spending rules and take the punishment?
Obviously it was brought in for fair play, that failed miserably. A little fish like Forest blatantly broke the rules recently and look where they are now. I detest cheating but unless the cheats are severely punished it doesn't deter cheating. Forest got away with a tiny punishment. As for the big cheats that's an incredibly long story. I'm sorry to pick on Forest,it's just a recent example, just a little cheating.

LIW it appears that I have to spell it out, the article was having a dig at cheats in the PL and unless they are severely punished it opens up for others to cheat. It was a litle dig at Forest because it's recent,no other reason
Over the years others have cheated on a far bigger scale than Forest. I just want severe punishments. If there aren't severe punishments then why shouldn't we cheat like the others ?

They got four points deduction, they were trying to sell Johnson but had to wait to get the correct price. That would have taken them below the threashold.

Slightly unlucky but still got a decent punishment.

Which other clubs have been far worse and not been punished 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yep, fair enough, it isn’t … yet. I shouldn’t speak for Promotion but my guess is that this (alleged) corruption/cheating is what he was referring to … and I have to say I agree with him. Caveat - if Man City are found to be innocent, I will take it back (or accuse the ‘judges’ of subterfuge😁).

Waiting for the best time to sell a player is certainly not a defense. It's like trying to predict the future.
What if the player got injured for example or spurs pulled out ? Making a defense using one player is nonsense after signing do many players. Forest broke the rules, yes compared to others it's trivial.

Once again I wasn't belittling Forest
Did Everton receive a 10 points penalty in the same season for overspending 19 million ?
It appears Forest got off lightly?

Then you charge them, but if they have been open and honest and kept a weekly dialogue it seems wholly counter intuitive to force a club to take less money for the sake of ten days.

If you bend the rules for one club it's neverending.
And I said before many things can happen.

Forest got a smaller deduction because they played ball with the investigation whilst Everton refused to hand over evidence and tried to obfuscate throughout.

Meeting was this week to work out how much we can spend with PSR be it £10m or £150m but whatever it is thats what we will spend.

Which given the Chagos farce over their and the constant raft of lies from lawyers like Starmer and judges Lord Chamberlain, seems par for the course in the U.K.

It does seem that judges are basically boasting, ’we do what we want, it what is correct….what are you going to do about it?’

TLB, I suspect you might be right about the outcome with Man City; even people over here have been watching this play out. Favouritism is rife the world over….
