Matt Law just announced. Not sure this is the right call. It’s a gamble either way. Maybe worth sticking with the guy that won a trophy.

Frank getting quickly dismissed by some when he's a good coach who has done extremely well to keep a newly promoted team up for 4 successive seasons in an era that sees most others drop back down the following season.
Also has a couple of top half finishes with them. In fact he's finished on the same amount of points as Poch did when we hired him from Southampton. Maybe we should remember that Poch was in the same boat and then went on to be very impressive with us, minus a trophy, due to various reasons.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Poch was a young up coming manager who played a modern and fresh playing style.
No even comparable plus we aren’t the same size club now than we was back then.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not even comparable? Well I managed to draw a few comparisons that make it a similar scenario. I take on board that it isn't exactly the same and I'm not really banking on us to be as good as we were under Poch either but we can only hope.
I'd have more trust in Frank to improve our league form than I do Ange.
As for cup success, well first things first he'd need to make us a better team, and in turn it should then help to increase our chances of trophies. People have a go at Poch for a lack of trophies but we still came close a number of times.

I thank Ange for what he achieved as part of a team. Too much emotional reaction on here. Sad about Ange and sad about one or two overrated players leaving when they were involved in serving up one of the worst league seasons in our history.
Yes but they won a trophy I hear fans cry! Are you fans of THFC or fans of Ange and these overrated individuals?
As part of a wider team they won the trophy and it's not their names engraved on it.
Who employs these players and pay the wages? It's not Ange.
They are among a group of 50 people that have winners medals and among a wider group of thousands (the fans) that made it possible.
These players have been on easy street the last few years and now the apple cart has been overturned they're going to leave? Possibly because they will not like the new manager and the pressure they will probably face?
That should suit us just fine. Hopefully to follow, will be the senior executives responsible for employing these overrated individuals and the overall failure of a strategy.

Wrong.
Coming from a lesser PL team who were newly promoted within the last few years, who finished on 56 points in the top half of the table. There is a similarity there with Poch when we got him, on some level.
Did you think Poch would do as well as he did with us when we got him? If you didn't, then that is the point I'm making with Frank. We shouldn't be so quick to dismiss. Let's just give him a fair crack and see how he does.

I was excited by Poch because and I’m repeating myself as usual with you that he was a young manager who played front footed attacking football with being renowned at Southampton to being excellent with young players and as a club back then that is exactly what we needed,
This club isn’t that anymore it’s a much bigger and established club that’s now one of the richest in the world coming off winning a major European trophy.
But hey if you want to go back a decade then let’s do it

Right and then I can choose to repeat myself back to you in response I suppose.
I get the style and age thing and I would have preferred Iraola for those reasons among others. I don't mind Frank though and am willing to give him a chance. It's not as if we have a pick of elite managers to choose from anyway.
In fairness, back before we appointed Poch we were at least more on the pace of top 4/5 than we are now or have been over the last 5 years.
