What a man. What a human being. Known his daughter and

granddaughter for decades. They are as grounded as he was. I was

playing in a school tournament in England the day of Lisbon. We were all

'allocated' a player as a kind of sponsor. We all wanted Jinky I got John.

Didn't know that 30 odd years later I'd know his family so well.
