wonder what the circumstances of the crash were, did they collide with another car?

if so, are the passengers of that car ok?

Apparently he was overtaking in a Lamborghini, a tyre burst, causing the car to crash and then burst into flames. Seems like no one else was hurt.

What terrible, terrible news, and he has a young family too.

I feel so sorry for the lad.

It is becoming the most common cause/risk of serious accident/death amongst footballers. Young guys with lots of money, able to afford the fastest cars but not immune to the dangers they bring, especially as a young sportsman who may be more willing to take risks and seek adrenaline.

An externality related to the huge amounts of money in football, that may need to be looked at. Who is looking out for players outside of football in relation to the things that money at a young age brings?
