Or if not - who is the greatest heavyweight?
Tyson?
Ali?
Lewis?
I think Usyk is a top 5 of all time guy but suffers from a lack of real quality opponents. I think his style and skill would match up well against any heavyweight in history as he doesn’t really have many weaknesses and his southpaw would trouble them all.
Usyk - the GOAT?

What he's done is pretty incredible but I don't think he's the goat. He hasn't faced any prime/peak heavy weight opponents. Still a top fighter and bloke
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well he's beaten a prime Dubois, who I don't think anyone can argue is number 2 in the division. Not Usyk's fault he made him look amateur.
Fury should have fought Usyk more in his prime but he ducked him and made him wait a couple of years.
This is arguably Parker's prime right now, who would be the next best in the division, so if he fights and beats him that will be another one. Same goes for Kabayel if it's him instead.
Maybe the division is better than we think and Usyk is just making it look more ordinary?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think Parker might be too big now to beat him.
He's very good. I just don't think the division is too amazing right now. But I'm no expert

In an era when a deadbeat lard-butt like Fury can win titles it's pretty clear the division is in serious trouble over it's credibility.
Anyway, the better boxers and fighters have always been in the more middling divisions.

No version of Parker beats Usyk but he is currently enjoying his best run of form and thinking about it, he'd probably avenge his losses to Joshua, Whyte and Joyce now if he were to fight them again.
I agree it may not be the strongest era for HWs but there is always the temptation to underrate it when one boxer dominates and makes it look easy. It's still stronger than the Klitschko era.

Best of this generation.
I can’t put him ahead of Ali or prime Mike Tyson.

This is my view pretty much

I actually Usyk beats both, finds a way.
Ali lost 3 times was it?.. iconic yeah, but the GOAT?
people seem to forget those horrible performances... where as Usyk, classy, solid and near perfect every time..
its just the 5 HW fights with Usyk, doesn;t sit well saying he;s the GOAT ... yet

Depends what we’re saying GOAT of for me? Is he the GOAT Cruiserweight? 100%.
GOAT Heavyweight? Could make a case
GOAT boxer? Not too many undefeated, undisputed unified two weight world champs knocking about in the history of the sport.

I don’t think he’s ever been officially knocked down has he (personally I don’t think that Dubois shot was low).

But does his consistency throughout his career put him above them?
