I still think that Torres loves us and only did what he did because of that. £50m from Chelsea to a club he loves, play really badly and get a cheap move home to Spain. Stranger things have happened.

The old Liverpool way which Kenny is trying to create is not going to work in the modern game. We need foreign players. I'm now getting worried that we are after yet another overpriced young English player. Zaha is not worth 10m.

------

Look at Torres we invested one of our biggest transfer fees in him and how did he repay us? By walking out. We need to build a team of players who's loyalty is not in question.

We have a different culture developing with the FPP rules which hopefully will restrict the obscene transfer fees and ridiculous wages players are on at the moment.

If that happens Acadamies will be very important, something Kenny helped Rafa set up some years back.
It's a new method that we are developing and something that in years to come could put us ahead of the game.

For more than double we paid for him. These are the deals that pay off. Of course so far, Carroll has been an exception.

The one area I find difficult to understand in moneyball is to buy players with a view to their transfer value. If we find a real Liverpool player then ideally I'd like them to stay until near the end of their career.

I maintain and will always say, if RAFA had Fenway in charge Liverpool would have 6 champs league trophies and 19 titles; what he did at LIverpool was amazing....it is only appreciatd by the people who understand the game and have no agenda.

Rafa sire..you are a legend at Liverpool FC

I'd love to have Rafa back however we ARE moving forward under Kenny. There is too much demand for instant success. It took City and their limitless investment four years to get where they are now dito with Spurs. Kenny has been in charge for 12 months and the quality is almost unrecognisable from when he took over.

Yes there are obvious flaws in the side but it has only been 12 months and you can't fix everything in 2 transfer windows. As long as the longer term trend is upwards I'm happy with the way things are going. We aren't in the top 4, or challenging for the title and maybe that's a step back from our form in last seasons run in but overall we've taken several steps forward.

For the moment as a realistic, and optimistic fan I'm happy with the direction the club has moved in on the field in the time Kenny has been here

The point is to buy them but IF they decide to leave or if they reach the point where they are worth a good fee which will reduce in a year or two, then they will be sold, at a good price. You should read moneyball. It seems you don't understand it.
