to the grayson haters, the bates haters, and the miserable.
if you are so unhappy at being a leeds fan, do yourself and us all a favour, and stop.
stop going to games (so i won't have the misfortune of sitting next to you), stop wearing the shirt (so people don't think we are all like you), and stop twisting on about the same things continuously (repeating yourself over and over again doesn't make it so).
it's like people enjoy focussing on the negatives, so they can be the first to say "i told you i was right".
well let me be the first to say "bravo, well done, give yourself a peanut."
we can all make spurious comments, and rejoice when proven right like we are some kind of nostradamus figure. "snoddy will go, gradel will go, grayson will go...".
if you are constantly prediciting things, once in a while you hit the target.
this does not mean you are some wise, sage oracle that should be listened to and revered.
it means you're a moron, that people look upon with disdain and pity. the type of person who revels in his own self importance, and the fact he predicted misery and disaster.
i might start a campaign to get the know alls/know nowts into positions of importance at ER, clearly they know better than everybody else. how could we possibly fail then???
there are too many on here who say opinion like it's fact, then chastise others when they disagree.
writing off our season before it has even started, is a waste of time and energy. Mainly mine, having to read the same turgid drivel day after day on these boards.
if you think we have no chance, why waste your money? but then you would have nothing to moan about would you.
i'm sure if everything was rosy, and you had nothing to moan about, you would probably complain about that too.
surely you could spend your hard earned pennies on something more worthwhile like razor blades, and rope.
as i said, if you are so unhappy at being a leeds fan, do yourself and us all a favour, and stop.
you won't be missed!
marching on..........my own, from the looks of the majority on these boards.
if you think this might be aimed at you, that says it all, and it proabably is.
bring on the negativity!
grayson out, bates out, everyone out!!!!

I read this Aycliffe and simply thought - I agree with some of what you say, I totally disagree with the rest. So who's right then? You or me?!!
To be direct, some of you out there are welcome label the likes of me and others on here all you want; from my perspective I'd simply reply that I'm very happy with all that I've achieved in life, the decisions I've made and the money I've generated from making those decisions!! So really speaking, just because I come on here and express that I think poor decisions have been made at Leeds United, doesn't mean a thing whatsoever. I'm not one of life's 'poodles', neither am I a 'parrot'; better still, I draw conclusions of my own based on my own observations. It's something each and every one of us is entitled to in life - opinions. And while I'm getting more right than wrong, I'm happy just like all of us are - but I NEVER, ever claim to have got every assessment correct. LUFC is not my business, but as I enjoy purchasing it's 'wares', I like to have an opinion on the 'wares' that I have purchased - mainly that of the entertainment value and standard of football provided for my money in comparison to the other football clubs in direct competition with us. OK, maybe that's a bit dry from a football fan perspective!! But similar to the likes of someone like Jonty on here, expressing strong opinion doesn't give others the right to declare that person as not being a passionate Leeds fan. In fact, I'd say be careful - you'll be amazed how many people you attempted to mock in life actually know a lot more than you think and often have been far more successful than you can ever dream to be.
One thing's a fact: there's one or two Leeds fans on these forums who could teach most of us a thing or two about running a business successfully. It might give you an insight as to why, for some, having an individual like Ken Bates as Chairman of their beloved club is excrutiatingly painful to bear. Put it this way: I'd happily have Ken Bates as Chairman of a company responsible for my assets. As for my Leeds United Football Club? Sorry - Bates out!! Football has long swallowed up small fry like Uncle Ken.
As I said, LUFC isn't my business to run, and I'm not exactly an Alan Sugar with endless millions, but as a fan of Leeds United, all my business instincts are turned on their head. All I really want for my club is an owner who doesn't constantly need to do the football equivalent of 'going to Tesco at 7pm every night to pick up the reduced priced super-bargains' so there's more moeny left over in the kitty!!! I want an owner who draws up a shopping list of ingredients (players), sufficient to meets the requirements in hand, then goes and makes those purchases and from them puts together a good quality, well balanced meal (team). No one's asking for caviar - but surely we deserve to step up to Frankie and Benny's from our recent servings of Bic Mac and fries!!
Well - there you are folks. That's just my take. Thoughts over for another day, and I guess sit back like the rest of us and see what ensues with regards to the fortunes of Leeds Untied this season.
Whatever some of you think of the likes of me, I'll always be there to give the Leeds Salute to any of you, wherever I meet you in the world!!

i haven't always been a happy leeds fan.
4 years ago i joined thousands of others being extremely unhappy.
Never mind being doomed to the third tier, the 15point deduction or the endless string of players & managers that had passed through the club. The main issue was a lot of talk and probability that Leeds United would be wiped from the footballing world.
This. the only possible way that me and many more would stop supporting Leeds - if Leeds no longer existed
So 4 years on... finished 7th in the Chamiponship after a rollercoaster succsesfull promotion campaign, highest goalscorers in the championship (without our previous top scorer), secure finances, and a stadium development.
Not to mention a strong group of players who want to wear the shirt. a manager and captain both from Leeds both Leeds supporters, and an exciting transfer window where (and im putting my neck on the line) we will sign some big players.
So im a happy Leeds fan - but probably the only one

fair play leeds fan.
as i stated earlier and on other posts i like listening to other peoples views and opinions. it's when they constantly churn out the same endless drivel that it becomes extremely tiresome.

Great post loved reading it and loved more the comments that followed! I love Leeds united and will continue too for the rest of my life! i cannot afford to go to games but that is more down to the fact that i live in nottingham and don't have a car!
I'm not always happy with what goes on at the club and will sometimes say so BUT........ i will support whoever is running and managing the club at the time!

Well Aycliffe,
Your post must also refer to you too.
You seem to churn out the same endless drivel when you keep constantly attacking other real LUFC fans because their opinions don't agree with your'n.

"endless drivel where you keep constantly attack other real lufc fans"
this is the first post where i have said anything negative, or confrontational.
i have had debate with many on here, and it has never been more than that.
you will not find any others with me attacking anyone, or constantly driving home the same point, over and over and over again.
have a look, i can guarantee you won't find any..

On a similar vein then, would you read page one of Jungles by Frans Lanting 417 times between now and the start of the season?
Eh?
