Raheem Sterling! What was the point....

....in him warming up in his full kit before the game and not even having the boy on the bench? I know he's young and inexperienced but his pace and hunger would be ideal for 10-15 mins at the end.

For me the bench on Saturday (Bellamy apart) there was zero pace and in fact 3 out of the out field players on the bench where full backs and just did offer anything?

Both! That formation should never have been played at home against stoke!

No. In 4-4-2 our full backs join the attack, leaving two back. In 5-3-2, our wingbacks join the attack, leaving three back. This requires simple maths. The second part requires a bit of tactical knowledge in that in stead of having two defenders joining the attack, we could have one more attacker, who is experienced in that position staying in the attack, with the two full backs joining and the two centre backs staying with their one slow forward, Crouch.

When they're good enough, they'll play, as evidenced by Spearing, Kelly, Robinson and Flanagan.

Well I disagree with Spearing, I think he's playing because we don't have anyone else in that position after Lucas. Saying that Coady will eventually come through and make that his own, and Sterling will make a big impact in the next couple of years!

Which means he was good enough to play, as he was better than others we had available, which is the point I'm making.
