I think a lot of people are forgetting how good he really was. People say if he were to get his game together we may get 3rd. IMO if he was to get back to his best like he was at Liverpool we'd get 2nd. He was the best STRIKER in world football by some margin at his best and if he started playing like that again we'd have some attack.

On that left, as a signing in January I think we could try and snap a pacey winger up like Hoilett or Shaqiri and go for Hazard/Gotze/Di Maria/Lucas in the summer, having them alternating with Mata allowing a free-roaming attack.

Weird how you say he was the "best STRIKER in world football by some margin" and yet you have Drogba in your name. Drogba's best vs Torres's best = there is not much difference.

Drogba was better. No competition. Not that Torres wasn't very good and world-class when he was good but Drogba was on another level

Honestly at liverpool i always wanted him to come chelsea because i always thought he was better ... thats why i want him to do well so much because i think he is better than didier and we won the doubble when didier was on top form, so imagine if torres was on top form what wed win

Torres WAS better at that time, but he was still not as good as Drogba in his prime.
What I said was so simple, in that season he was the best striker in the world but when drogba's fit and on form there's no one in the world better than him to have up top.

Interesting how everyone is using the word WAS.
Wikipedia is at it, too: "He was considered world class..."
That's the point - it's now all in the past. He isn't ever "gonna get back" no matter how much you personally crave it. He'll have the occasional good day at the office, that's all.
