Kenny's Tactics

Im getting sick of fans who are having a go at Kenny's tactical ability. Last year, when we were winning for fun, it was all down to Steve Clarke, and many pointed the thumbs up to the first team coach. Yet now that we are struggling for form, its all Kenny's fault, he's stuck in the past. Its either one way or the other.

Some people also forget that Roberto Mancini was attacked by both the media and fans for his defensive approach to football not so long ago. The likes of De Jong, Barry and Milner were the hard working players that Mancini loved to use. Once Mancini had formed his hard working model in the squad, he started to look for more technically attacking footballers. Aguero, Silva and Nasri were signed, and Man City went from Italian work horses to Spanish smooth moving.

Kenny has formed a hard working and competitive squad, which creates balance and stability. The next step for Comolli and Kenny is to target attractive, techinically smart footballers. Players like Joao Teixeira are evidence of what we are looking for in the future. Kenny has made us hard to beat, and now the next step is to make us play football.

Liverpool played with three at the back with Enrique and Johnson playing as wing-backs. He played with with 3 in midfield Adam,Henderson and Downing with Gerrard operating behind Kuyt. So essentially it was a 3-5-2 formation.

You didn't see the game and are "pontificating" to quite a learned poster above, on a subject you have zero knowledge on as you didn't see the game.

You come out with complete guff, which has accelerated after you were caught saying Liverpool are a small club for looking after the safety of man united fans.

That is actually a very attacking formation. Did you create loads of clear cut chances?

We've already covered everything. You gave us your tactical analysis of a game you didn't see, and we all concluded you're full of sheite (as if we didn't know already).

Anyhow, I'm off home now.

Kemlyn, always good having a debate with you. Take Redinthehead under your wing.

There he goes, taking his ball home in a plastic bag... Hold on tight you don't want to drop the ball...

It was an attacking formation however, it was typical of Liverpools season, lots of creativity..not enough penetration.
Liverpool spent the game playing in front of Stokes back four, they reminded me a lot of Robin Reliant FC aka Arsenal.
