Going get ripped apart for this thread!!

But here goes.

I've touched on this before. I know we spend a lot of cash on Rangers each season, well I do anyway.

My breakdown is:

Season Book - £630 always pay it up front.
Gers shirt - £45 only use it once a wk at 5s.
Away games - between £250 & £350 per season Inc traveling.
Travel to home games & bevy - don't even want to go there, it's a lot £££££

I can still pay my mortgage, c tax, car and all the other bills + keep the mrs happy with regular gifts + a couple a hols in the sun possibly once or twice a year!!

All that considered I could still pay an extra £50 a month to Rangers which would be £600 a year extra to Rangers.

Multiply 600 by say another 30,000 willing supporters that's £18,000,000.00 a year, that would sort out transfers, tax bill etc

What do we think of that or I'm I just been silly

dont know quinny

my guess would be SDM did not want any risk with a takeover

The rights are for shareholders only

at the time there seemed no need for more investment and the thousands of fans out there with 1 share its for the wall it gets you to the AGM and it gets you a copy of the accounts (well it used to)
The old boy went from 10 shares to 100
Why Ive no idea and nor does he.

You ordinary punter with the cert on the wall did not need to invest

Duke.

I think you're right about Murray's fear of a takeover.

I think that when the dust all settles it'll be business as usual.

Neither Celtic or Rangers will do a 'Leeds'.

WELL CELTIC WONT YOU ARE MINTED

16 years ago it was the other way round.

We're all in the hands of the money men now.

The guys at Celtic now seem to be reputable and have at least medium term vision.

Funny thing is that Murray was the lad who gave Rangers what every Scottish fan dreamed of - cheque book ' we can get anyone ' stuff.

Because of that Rangers are now controlled by a Chancer of the first water.

That's a temporary thing.

Very temporary if I take your meaning correctly.
