Why have a pop at lillywhite ? Ok I would not have benched Ade but before today he had been poor for a while.

Does anyone think with Arry possibly going etc, Saha on loan etc, that Adebayor might have finally got the message what is at stake for him if Spurs decline further involvement at season end ??

granspurs....................................Because he was strongly in favour of dropping Ade, even though he has not been on top form he brings a different dynamic to the team, even when we change formation.

Today showed his full repertoire and boy was he good.

To be fair dropping Ade (before watching him today) was not that bad a call he had been very poor for a fair time.

I would not have called for him to be dropped personally because before Saha he was the only decent option we had for the way Harry has us playing.

I can understand why fans would suggest it to be honest and altho he is still our best option to play up front at the moment I am still not his greatest fan and do think we should be looking to sign better in the summer personally.

I do not think he has done enough (to date) to justify a buy.
But the season is not done yet, and there is still time for him to raise his game to its peak (phase 2 being the perfect time to do it) .

I was one of the people slating him for being shocking of late, but today he was unplayable and just think playing two up front makes such a difference to us

No one will agree that VDV should be dropped but i didnt see a weakness in that team today?

I dont doubt that he has ability, even tho his first touch is not great 9 times out of 10, no matter what posters say on here.

His work rate as a rule is normally superb as well but I dont think he is anywhere near consistent enough for a team that really is in a position to challenge for the league.

It may well be that he is just not suited to the one up front strategy that Harry likes so much and that having a partner today allowed him to give the sort of performance that he gave us today
