First of all, i have nothing else to say that hasnt been said already regarding yesterdays match. Team was abysmal and only one playing even semi decent was brad and he let in 5 (shows how good we were really)
But anyway i wanted to write something on our lovely 'left winger' Bale. He is doing my head in at the moment just watching him sit in the middle of the park or way up field doing naff all and when he does have the ball trying to literally take on the entire team by himself. This free role thing has to stop. Walcott had so much space down that side yesterday it was stupid, Bale should have been there 1) helping out benny 2) doing what walcott was doing to us and legging it down the wing stretching the other team.
Since the Norwich game, he just seems to have become really big headed and selfish. But what we all love about him is when he bombs it down the LEFT wing and puts in deadly crosses. He got Sagna booked early on in the game and if he used his brain he could have kept running at him forcing him to make a tackle and getting him booked again.
Someone surely on the Spurs staff can see this apart from just the fans...
Im not solely blaming Bale for yesterdays result but I think his presence missing from the left wing did ultimately make us suffer as we had no outlet on the wing - especially as Lennon didnt even get 1 single minute on the pitch

I think King still has a part to play this season, but it might be a case of playing him to suit the opposition unless we change this style we've adopted lately.
As for the banter and fun bit, it's the main reason I come on too...though I admit I draw the line at making forecasts about if we're going to win or how many we're going to win by as I've been a supporter long enough to know we can always throw it away, and because past experience shows they have a bad habit of biting me on the arris

I'm almost tempted to say cash in on him in the summer, before some of the bigger clubs that are allegedly chasing him see how one-dimensional he is and how patchy his form can be.
Unless the coaching staff can rein him in and nail him to that left wing where he's most effective, I'd nearly rather see a lesser player playing instead of him - someone who sticks to his bloody position and gives us shape. Having said that, we've no decent left wing cover, so I just hope he gets his act together, stops diving, sticks to position and stops believing the hype surrounding him.

I'm getting really fed up of Bale's attitude recently. I've always thought he's a nice, down-to-earth lad & Redknapp needs to take him to one side & tell him he's becoming selfish and arrogant.
And he needs to stop diving!!!
