see my comment went down well, just wanted an opinion, didn't mean to start arguments, sorry.

reason i questioned it was because we all agree Henderson IS being played out of position and we all/most want a RW brought in the summer, my only point was we haven't tried Johnson on the RW and don't know if it will work, he could turn into a Bale, unlikely, yes, but unless you try you will never know, plus if it works we could concentrate more on buying forwards and cover for Lucas (sorry i don't think Spearing is good enough just my opinion!)

that's why i suggested it, knew it would go down well with toor

Jenners...Johnson was recently on twitter complaining that the next person who says he should play right wing will get a punch in the face..or something to that effect.

Johnson is probably the best right back in the country this season...Why would you move him? He has become really solid defensively too

KLS, totally agree with you. Henderson shouldn't be starting. He has minimal impact on any game. He looks terrified. I know he's only young, but Kelly is only 2 months older and he's playing without fear.

Are the new buys being weighed down by the price tag? The value we've got from them has generally been inversely proportional to what we paid for them. I get the impression that they're terrified to mess up because they don't want to face the flak that they'll get, Instead they keep a low profile and take no risks. Contrast that with the the likes of Kelly, Flanagan and Robinson. When they play they want to impress, they're not scared to make a mess. They have to take risks to stay in contention. Henderson and Downing can just play it safe and know they'll still get picked because of the price that was paid for them.

Don't like the policy of buying potential for big money. It makes financial sense but may actually inhibiit the players development. Its justifiable for more established players (like Suarez) who have confidence in their abilities gained over a sustained period of success at a high level. But can be a millstone for players with less experience (Henderson, Carroll, Downing) who can take the safe option and not take any responsibility. Sterling might even be a better option than Henderson because he wants to impress. Its probably a bit too early for him but the academy lads who've been given a chance have done really well.

i don't see Henderson as the answer RW and most on here don't either, yes he has had moments in games of good skill but mostly he has been poor on the right, i just think Kelly can do as good a job RB and is good getting up in attack to support, we have Flanagan who is being held back because he is 3rd choice behind those 2.

If we move Johnson up to RW it will give more opportunities to Flanagan and also Johnson can always cover RB anyway.

IF it works we don't need to concentrate on RW in the Summer, and also the youngsters are getting more opportunities.

that's my reasoning for suggesting it, some people might think good idea some might think what a plank, its a forum, its all about different opinions, we could all do a team formation and none will probably be the same, we all have dif ideas, i just would like to see more youngsters given opportunities and this way i think we could see Flanagan progressing more than he has been.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

...............................................................................
Even If the performance is below per? It has been broken for the previous 3 games and we are not out of the woods yet. Its not easy to win games with players who disappear during the match.............Herdo is used to this. It makes the us play with 10 players making an already bad situation worse!

Sick and tired of the endless slating of Downing,

Henderson and especially Adam. Downing has gained form recently, as has Henderson and Adam has had more good games than bad games so LAY OFF THEM.

Did Downing score or assist yesterday? I mean, Steve Gerrald has been injured alot , but came in and scored a hatrick imagine that was Downing? I mean Gerrald has already out scored Downing. We slate Gervinho and Walcott but Gervinho has 4 goals in a new league and over 5 assists, guess what Liverpool will probably be 4th of you had Walcott. He has scored 8 goals in the leagues and over 10 assists or so if I am correct!

Another Arsenal kid who only reads the stats to find out how a player is doing. Downing put the ball to Kelly on a plate who missed a sitter. What more can Downing do? It was a brilliant curling cross.
