Agree. Henderson has been poor. I have been criticizing him since the beginning of the season but a lot of our fans think he’s been doing well. He doesn’t add anything to the team. He is so weak in his challenges, passes the ball to the opposition more than his team mates and looks nervous and scared. I just can’t understand leaving out Holland international regular to someone who has potential but yet to live up to it.

He just runs around like a headless chicken. Its unfortunate that Kenny prefers his signings to the detriment of other players and the club.

Now that we have won he will never leave him out. KK is unbelievably stubborn and also blind. Hendo has been awful in every game he has played on the right wing but is guaranteed to play every game. Feel sorry for Maxi who has been completely frozen out despite being one of our best goal threats.

I am not sure what Kenny sees in Henderson either, but Rafa stuck with Lucas and we are reaping the rewards for that now.

Henderson is a young lad and hopefully will only get better, he has time on his side.

Is the issue of Henderson with a lot on here that he is played RM and he is poo and should be played in the middle, or you don't see him being good enough anywhere in the team?

I was always led to believe he was a future replacement for Gerrard in the middle along side Lucas, unless we are doing to him what we done with Lucas and getting him to play a dif position which obviously will take time for him to get better and used to it, hope not as i don't see anything he adds to RM personally.

Apart from the first 15, where he put some really bad passes, but otherwise I think he had a quite a good game at the right. I think that formation works for us, naturally would be better with Lucas. Bellamy? He can't work like that for 90mins! Kuyt is fading too, he's our best player over 90mins for that position. We do need to buy a right winger to add competition for that place, sure someone like Hazard would be exceptional.

BTW, he had a great run and pass for the second crucial goal, and also the goal against Arsenal was his touch..

one more thing, he has the potential to be Liverpool quality, remember we need to give players proper time to settle.
I think we should be talking about Adam & Spearing who will never be good enough for starting XI.

Henderson was rubbish for the first half and only slightly improved for the second half! I'd rather have someone there who is actually effective for only 50-60 mins and then change them, ie Bellamy and Kuyt over 90 mins!

Btw if your prepred to give Henderson time to settle why not Adam? I personally agree that Adam won't be good enough for us but you can't say you have to give players time to settle and then write one off who was signed at the same time. Plus, Henderson actually has more premier league exprience than Adam and Spearing put together.

You actually don’t know what you’re talking about. You were probably slating Alonso after his first season who was exceptional in his first and last seasons but still our best midfielder in every season. With Henderson it is not his form. He is either not ready yet or not good enough. I have not seen a single game this season that he had a big impact on it. There were poor and some just decent games and not too impressive. With this form he should be a squad player but not a starter every game over better players like Bellamy, Kuyt and Maxi and even Shelvey. He could be good enough for Sunderland but not Liverpool. He could start a few games but not every game

One more thing, one decent pass and run in 90 mins does not make up for the other 20 miss placed passes that stop momentum. You mention the pass and run for the second goal, why about when he was played through the middle in the first half and instead of running into the space ahead he played a stupid ball to his left and the move broke down!

And Spearing was superb last night against 2 midfeilders who have been talked about having £20 million values!

I don't think he played that badly to be fair to him, but yes kenny does seen to favour playing him every game. He needs to be more consistent granted, and he is a little lightweight sometimes tackling I'll agree to that, but with regular games that consistency should come. How so you expect the new guys to gel if you just play most of the old team? I feel people are judging far too quickly here, get off his back.

You state that because Lucas has been injured, Henderson has played more. Why, he's not played in the middle where Lucas plays so what's Lucas got to do with it? Henderson has been played out of position constantly and that maybe impacting on his confidence. That's exactly why he should be taken out of the team and someone more exprienced should play on the right side!

You are picking just one or two nice touches from Henderson in five or more games to convince us he’s been good. Downing was also poor last night but that cross to Kelly was excellent. That doesn’t mean he had a good game. It would have been an assist but Kelly missed it.

He has been playing regularly after Lucas injury. He has only scored one goal and had a couple of nice touches. That’s all. The rest he’s been running like a headless chicken. That’s not good enough to guarantee first team football in every game.

You tube, WOW! I don't need to watch a you tube video of him. I ve been to every home game and when he's played on the right side he's been left wanting. He's not a right winger as everyone who has posted on here has agreed, and that's why he should be replaced with someone like Bellamy, Kuyt or Maxi. Just because he was signed for big money does not mean he should be accommodated in the team by being played out of position.

If you watch the whole video it shows what he can bring. He's not 30 odd he's still so young. He has the potential to be that player that keeps us flowing when attacking an that's what we need. At times he reminded memory Miereles - I seen to remember he got slated too for being light in the tackle etc etc but he came good and created endless chances for us eventually.

Can you not at least admit that judging him this harshly far too early is a bit hasty?!

if we are playing Henderson RM where he isn't suited to playing and it doesn't really work but we persist with it, why don't we try Johnson there?

I was very very impressed with Kelly at RB last night and would prefer him to Johnson as RB, but because of Johnsons pace he might work on the wing.

I know some will say but he is a RB not a RM player, but we are persisting in playing Henderson there who doesn't really work so will not hurt to try, if it works maybe then we can concentrate on other areas more in the summer.
