hELLo PatJOwl - today's the day that Stevenage have taken their place in League One on the Football Teams page.
Both matches between the Owls and Stevenage are night matches - looking forward to visiting Stevenage for the first time on 13th September. Do you know of a good watering hole where the hordes of Owls fans can visit? What's the capacity of the away end?
Are there any other Stevenage fans apart from you (?) and Far Post!! Be seeing you soon.

How do Kitty? I was pleased to finally achieve JA606 promotion last week. I must admit I clicked on the league 2 page of the BBC website this morning and was very pleased to have to correct my mistake and head up to league 1.
My favourite pub near the ground is Our Mutual Friend, which is about 10 minutes walk from the stadium. It's predominantly home fans, but last time I went there I had a good chat with a couple of Port Vale fans. There'll be no aggro there unless you bring it! It's a CAMRA pub as well
The away stand has approximately 1,400 seats and is situated at the south side of the stadium. You can nearly see my house from the top of it!
There appears to be no other boro fans on here at present. But I'm trying to keep the articles up to date so if any pass by there's more chance they'll stay!
See you in September! Cheers, Pat.

Am well Pat!! Was beginning to think there weren't any Stevenage fans on here . Our Mutual Friend sounds like a good place - you won't get any aggro from me or mine - plus we like the CAMRA pubs - my usual haunt at home games is one too (Barracks) (not a swear word Admin1 - that really is the name of the pub) .
It will be a sell out when we visit - what a predicament you will find yourself in - Owls or Boro? - you will be hoping for that high scoring draw you mentioned in another article?
Hope to have some friendly banter with more Boro fans soon?

Ah the Barracks... good times
Bound to be a sell out and a great atmosphere. I was really pleased when our manager Graham Westley was talking about all the big clubs we would play next year and started with Wednesday first. More top work Graham!
A mate of mine pointed out that really I should hope fora 1-0 win for the home side in each meeting. That way both sides come away with 3 points instead of the 2 they'd get from my high scoring draw scenario. To take that to the extreme I guess I should hope for a 6-0 win for the home side in case the league title comes down to goals scored!
I can't do it though. Logic doesn't come into it. Even if it ends up with both teams on one less point at the end of the season I can't hope one of them loses anymore so I have to hope for draws.
As for predicting the results it's way to early for that. We don't even know what the first 11 will be for either side yet, or how they will start.
I will say if it's anything like last season Stevenage will be very cagey for the first couple of months. I don't think our full backs got over the half way line before November last year and they offensive input was one of the most important aspects of winning the conference and getting into the play-offs last year. I can see why you'd play better safe than sorry while you find your feet in the league though, it's not a criticism of the tactics, just an interesting observation!

As I don't have an affinity to any other club I will be hoping for 3 points both home and away, but in deference to you hope they are narrow wins for the Owls .
I went to Hillsborough today to buy a new home shirt - I quite like it without the sponsor on the front. The sales assistant said you can have it put on when we get the logos but I don't think I will bother - prefer it without.
I've given up predicting at the beginning of a season - just hope for a good start, middle and end !! Who knows what we will get.
I'm impressed with your efforts on this board - I keep stopping by hoping you get some more posters to chat to. Maybe when the season starts . . . . . ?
